It really does feel like the Bills blew a golden opportunity this year. No Chiefs, no Ravens, a #1 seed that won a ton of close games that could've easily have had double the losses they actually did. A #2 seed with no OL. The Jags at #3. I mean, c'mon... this was the year it just laid out perfectly for them.

Yup unfortunately their own issues of zero defense and no dynamic pass catchers killed em". The Bills havent been great drafting offensive weapons for Allen and it shows.

@LinvilleGorge hit on this in another thread, but not only was in the wildest Panthers season I can recall, but same given not one sane soul had Pats vs Seahawks in the SB. There's more fuel to state "I have no idea how the season plays out". I was a legit NFL and had great foresight, but not this past year...

It kind of rivals 2001 for that. We found every way to lose a game that year. Some of it was mind blowing.

That team was not a 1 win team.

This year? I’m not sure we had a single last second stunning WTF loss all year. Where we pulled defeat from the jaws of victory. Though, I am drinking and inclined to forget something.

This team was not a playoff team. We slipped up and performed admirably in the wild card game, yes we did. So credit there but I don’t have much else. It doesn’t feel like a lock that we improve this coming year record wise, at all.
The Icky injury just really hurt us. Every potential improvement we could pencil in is knocked down a notch behind needing to cover that.

Yea that 2001 and for me 2003 was one hell of ride, *just by mid-season I knew that 03 team was legit and could beat ANYONE with Magicman Jake, prime Smitty, moose, solid tough roid OL, jenkins, pep, Rucker, Morgan, minter, foster/Davis and great ST. Just score 20 points and good luck, cause that year Panthers had GOOD LUCK. Still I had no clue about which 2025 Panthers team showed up.

That Icky injury is a massive setback to all future plans.

I just read what I posted. I should have added that the fact that we didn’t have a WTF loss points to us learning how to win. It is evidence of that. Those really ugly wins, like vs NYJ and the Packers, they are losses with losers. I mean with a team hasn’t learned how to win.

That is a thing we went through in 2002, and early 2003 to begin with. Instead of losing the tossup situations, we found a way to hold on and come out with a W.  Most of the time.

I don’t know if we can sustain it I guess we’ll see.
