The most aggressive we've ever been didn't exactly turn out well.

That was technically a trade. Also love that dom capers still has the same haircut and color thirty years later.

“Most aggressive” probably has to be 2000. Reggie white, Eric Swann, Chuck smith who never actually played.

Getting those old dudes that nobody wanted at that point wasn't being aggressive.

eh, it was a big deal at the time. obviously fell apart in hindsight

2005 was Ken Lucas and Mike Wahle. Those were huge signings at the time.

2011 was insane but it was resigning all their own guys. I still can't believe they gave James Anderson 50 million dollars jesus christ

I’m still really interested in drafting an LT in the first round if the right one is there. Perfect scenario to allow to sit and learn for a bit. That’s how you get a starter for 10-15 years.

Agree with the sentiment and I’m not against it at all. The good news is you don’t have to draft an LT in the first which in my opinion is a much better position to be in.

also not that i care what pundits have to say but everyone said the panthers had the best FA in 2006

Kemoeatu and Hartwig were two of the top five on everyone's board, and they added Keyshawn as well.

Kemo was fine, Hartwig got hurt and replaced by Ryan Kalil, and Keyshawn couldn't catch balls throw from left handed QBs.

I'm hoping for Center or Tackle on day 2. Depth and our Oline is so expensive we need a starter on a rookie deal come 2027.

Id like to see something like:

1st- BPA

2nd- C

3rd T (If BPA in 1st wasn’t a tackle; skill guy otherwise)

I think that's the dark horse pick. Start planning for the future of the position if we can't keep Mike Jackson, or someone gets hurt. I'd like to take a CB that has good return ability though so we can get them on the field.

Maybe, but UDFA Thornton was the second highest rated rookie CB in 2025.  I think he will find some pt.  I think we might take a nickel CB later, like that kid from Duke.

Good.

Was worried this team was going to draft the 5th best OL in the draft at 19.

Now go get Kenyon Sadiq and put some points on the board.

Should win this division easily with the moves and money we've spent.

There were only 2 projected to go before 19. We can still get a good ond if wanted..

DG had a good one in 2015 too. Oher, Ginn, Coleman, Tillman. Then traded for sunsetting Jared Allen.

They were key additions but weren't young top free agents.

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
