Yeah there's been a lot of fuged up poo on GoT but that's got to take the cake.

I saw an article the other day talking about the "evil" on GoT... is it the White Walkers/Others, is it the Lannisters, is it the Boltons... and I think last night's episode illustrates it perfectly, it's all so grey.

Sure the White Walkers are "evil" in that they kill people to add to their army of the dead.

The Stone Men, if not evil, then insane...

The Lannisters... obviously Cersei is a psychopath, but is she downright evil?  Even Jaime has done some horrible things, but seems to be honorable (mostly) to those he is in debt to or that serve him (Bronn last night).

Then there's Stannis...  is he good because he helped the Night's Watch stop the Wildling invasion?  Or is he evil to burn his daughter at the stake just so he can "fulfill his destiny"?  Or is he both?

I guess it's all relative. Pun intended.

I feel like last week's episode was better overall, but this week's was still good. I got a Neverending Story vibe from those last few shots, lol...

I told the wife the same thing. It was a great moment and I was trying not to chuckle

I actually have to give my wife credit on the Neverending Story reference... She brought it up first and then I saw it too...

The fighting pits scenes were rife with ripoffs, The flyover with the hanging awnings I think was the same footage from Gladiator. And did anyone catch the Merenese Champion pulling the Achilles move from Troy?

Achilles vs Boagrius

Still, was not disappointed. I just caught up from the back seasons, and man, I couldn't have picked a better time. These last 2 episodes? I'm going to be going through crack withdrawals this week waiting for Sunday's finale.

Here's what better happen:

  1. Melisandre needs to die. Just because. Fug her.
  2. Same with that Dornish broad. Seriously. Kill her off so the Dorne storyline can move on.
  3. Stannis will get his comeuppance for that. It's King's blood, so the Boltons are all gonna die in the worst way imaginable. If a drop from Robert's bastard was enough to kill Joffrey, then Ramsey will probably be sodomized to death by an elephant or something. But then Stannis will pay hard.
  4. Arya had better go on a friggin killing spree. I mean she's done nothing all season, yet, I've had to watch her do nothing for like 2 hours this season. So A Girl better better go Scarface in the finale after they've been teasing it for so long. That corpse washing had to be building to something. Right?

    • I would imagine that with a choice between going after Horn or Jackson, people are gonna go Jackson. So him having the most burns tracks with that.     Two words: Pass rush.
    • Back in my day! But seriously, it is shameful what it has all become, and it’s only going to get worse.
    • https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/46683459/2025-nfl-offseason-tiers-32-teams-best-worst-signings-trades-draft-barnwell Slightly above expectations Highlights: Trading WR Adam Thielen, signing RB Rico Dowdle (one year, $2.8 million), drafting fifth-round TE Mitchell Evans   Disappointments: Re-signing CB Mike Jackson (two years, $10.5 million)   The Panthers chose the right time to move on from Thielen, who had been productive in Carolina before being dealt to Minnesota just before the season. He has been lost in the shuffle there. While the Panthers won't see the fourth-round pick that forms the bulk of the return for Thielen until 2027, getting out from what was owed to a player who has 47 receiving yards in Minnesota is an easy victory. Dowdle has been a revelation since moving into the starting lineup after Chuba Hubbard's injury, becoming one of a handful of players in NFL history to produce consecutive 200-yard scrimmage games. The former Cowboys back was averaging 3 yards per carry before the opportunity, so I'm not sure I would count on him playing like Jim Brown the rest of the way in a rotational role alongside Hubbard. But it's hard to argue that Carolina hasn't already gotten its $2.8 million worth out of the 27-year-old back. Most of Carolina's biggest moves are either tracking to be right around expectation (drafting wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan) or have been impacted by unexpected injuries (signing defensive tackle Tershawn Wharton). Jackson was a pleasant surprise as a starter in 2024, and he hasn't been terrible this season, but most of the big plays against Carolina have come on throws against the former Seahawks cornerback. Overall, though, this has been a very reasonable offseason for the Panthers
