The majority of us get it: he's a phenomenal athlete that can potentially be a great player in the league. He's a poor public speaker, but seems to mean well. I've been saying that I think personality wise, Newton is just one of those guys that some people love and some people hate.

Most of us probably know someone like that, and we already have or have had a couple of guys who have a similar polarizing effect on people who meet them (Steve Smith, Jimmy Clause, and David Carr to name a few).

That, to me, helps at least partially explain why there's so much difference of opinion on him.

Cam is no more of a project, than any other QB in this draft.

Say what ya want, there will be an adjustment, for every QB to be had.

Cam has shown he can learn 2 offenses in 2 years.

While I don't expect him to learn everything there is to be learned in a year, of the new offense that the Panthers will be employing, I'm sure he'll learn quickly.

How that translates to him getting onto the field this coming season (if we have one) is another story though.
