Someone asked Newton if he wanted the No.2 jersey WITHOUT mentioning Clausen and he said "Yes" the media and the HUDDLE are dragging this out to a non-story, so get your fugging facts straight! Cam has not commented on this matter any further, and Baker needs stfu and stop adding more fuel to the fire for the media.

.. wow. You're either naive or an idiot. What jersey # does Clausen have? If I'm not mistaken its the # 2. A 3rd grader could read between the lines. He doesn't need to mention Clausen's name, he's the one with the jersey #. Baker isn't adding anything to the 'fire', he's speaking the truth. There are bigger things to worry about than a jersey number. Oh by the way, baker doesn't need to stfu, he's a veteran and has more right to speak his mind about the matter since he's on the team and has played a down in the NFL. Baker was also asked and he answered, don't get upset that Cam isn't getting his way..

Cam didn't DEMAND ANYTHING, he asked if he can have the number and I'm pretty sure he offered him money for the rights to it. And also we don't know if Cam has picked a number or not yet, since Teams aren't allowed to sell rookies jersey's until the lockout is over.

Lol...so now your going to split hairs over a word. So be it.

people are too easy to get riled up.

it doesn't matter and i doubt anyone actually involved is losing sleep over it as much as you clowns are.

So Baker doesn't understand why a jersey number is so important to Clausen or Cam, but he won't give his up?

Sorry, this is really simple for me - Cam is supposed to be our franchise QB, he should get whatever number he wants. They should take Baker's 7 and give it to Jimmy so Cam can have 2. If Baker doesn't like that they should ask him why it's such a big deal what number is on his shirt while he's punting.

Baker has JOAT's sense of humor.:rofl:

I say the guy who was on the field more last season with the most yards from scrimmage has the right to wear #7, sorry Clausen but we saw Baker behind center more than we saw you and his one punt trumped any of the drives you lead.

      Any idea what happened to him at LSU? im reading that he was considered a 1st round pick in 2023, had an off 2024 season with only 4 sacks but was also on a horrible FSU team then went to LSU where he was supposed to be on an aggressive defense that should have given him a lot of sacks but he only ended up with one….   was he injured? Did the top SEC competition expose him? What happened? Cause this guy was considered a top prospect .

      Sometimes its fun to read the threads/posts.  The panthers could literally hire a groundskeeper and we'd have a thread "improving the field for no other reason to prop up Bryce Young".  Apparently no move is ever done to actually make the team better.  All a conspiracy to just focus on Bryce Young. Or suddenly daydreaming and reminiscing about Sam Darnold when he was hated more than Bryce Young.  Its really fun to do a message board search about Darnold during that time period.   Or thinking there is just a tree that grows QB, and you can just easily go up and pluck one.

      Yeah okay. We as an organization have been more patient with him than many. And there has been a small parade of guys drafted since he was, also to bad teams, that have passed him. Some have lapped him. As a fan I am out of patience but he gets this year it is out of my hands always has been. I just hope the bar is higher than it has been for him.    FWIW, XL dropped two passes last year. He did do some other bad stuff, just saying.
