The NFC South the toughest Division Now.

Everybody in the NFC south has gotten better over the course of this week. But the Panthers have a chance to come back out on top with good Quarterback play and great defense this season. We are a couple of pieces from having a good year here this year. If we can get a pretty good CB somebody like Cromartie , Chris Carr, or Rogers and on top of that we get a another decent WR and a decent DE we can make noise.

Im not saying we are going to win the super bowl but we can get better as an overall team and maybe make a playoff push. But if we dont get better at CB,DE,WR,OL its going to be tough.

It has been the and best and the most tough for a while IMO. We had a team in the NFC championship pretty consistently. At lot of other divisions are comparable.

edit: this division is really only 2 teams deep (in terms of teams that could really make some noise in the playoffs), as the bucs were simply the beneficiary of a soft schedule. even then the falcons are probably worse than all but the redskins

Same could be said about the NFC east, which IMO is the most overrated division in the NFL. Redskins-irrelevant since I don't know how long, Cowboys-all hype, Eagles-Can never seal the deal the Giants are the only consistent team .

i agree that the redskins suck. you are hating hardcore if you think the cowboys/eagles are not good. the afc east is probably also better than the nfc south

I never said they weren't good. I just said they can't seal the deal. They play very well during the regular season but they ultimately choke. How many back to back NFC championship games did the Eagles go to without actually making the Super Bowl? The Cowboys had like 13 Pro Bowlers a few years ago and still were eliminated in the first round. Good teams but they can't seal the deal.

Granted after our last season I'd love to have that problem.

The South has been very competitive for a long time, it seems that the team in last just does really poorly.

Starting with Atlanta in 1999 every single team in the NFC south has appeared in Super Bowl since that time. Two have won. There isn't a division even close to touching that. This division produces a true contender every year.
