Corners that are left. Who will it be?

So here we go, the CB position is probably the one position that needs to be addressed. I'm starting to think we'd be fine at the WR spot, even if we don't sign anyone. But the CB position, not so much. Here's what's left from what I can tell.

1.Chris Carr, CB, Ravens. Age: 28.

He's a decent CB, he'd probably beat out Gamble for the #1 spot. He's not that old either, still would have at least 5 years left. He'd line up next to Gamble instantly. No doubt. This is the FA that I would want.

2. Nate Clements, CB, 49ers. Age: 31.

I'm not convinced with this guy, but at this point he's looking like an OK CB, next to Gamble he would be better than Marshall to be honest. If he comes cheap, I say sure.

3. Antonio Cromartie, CB, Jets. Age: 27.

Ah yes, Cromartie and his family. Um, next to gamble, we'd have a very decent backfield. This is another guy that I wouldn't mind paying a little more for because he's worth that little extra cash. Again, he's still young, has at least 5 years left so he'd be finishing his career with us. That's a good thing, means we can look for a replacement while him and gamble are on their way out.

4. Carlos Rogers, CB, Redskins. Age: 30,

If he can stay healthy. Yes, do want. Even if he's older. Getting him cheap might be a possibility, I can see him pairing with Gamble nicely.

5.Chris Houston, CB, Lions. Age: 26.

Some of you don't want this guy. He remind me a lot of Marshall, but he'd probably beat out marshall to be honest. I beleive he's slightly better than marshall, he's still young and can be coached still. He's definitely a #2 CB, which is what we need. If all the other CB's are signed, and it came down to marshall and him. I'd take houston.

6. ????? Don't know who else is left that can be acquired? Via trade? A. Samuel? If the trade doesn't leave a gaping hole in the panthers backside I say yes.

There's still some options at CB, I hope something gets done soon about this. Even if we don't pick up any more positions of need to secure a CB, I'm all for that.

    • Ohio State no. 8 won it all last year.  No. 6 Penn State and no. 7 Notre Dame advanced to the semi-final. This year no. 7 Ole Miss is going to win it all.
    • agreed.  Lack of games/opportunity makes him a non-factor in OROTY talk.  He is just now getting the stage where there is legit film on him.  Takes awhile to really see how guys react to all the different scenarios and to find the real weak spots on a QB's play in an O.
    • Oh boy how the tables have turned...the passion and extent at which you defend Shough would make even the staunchest Bryce fanboys blush.  The bold part is especially straight from their playbook.  Even if someone here were to withhold giving Shough props, it's pretty understandable as a Panthers fan.  What's quite odd is becoming the biggest stan of our most hated rival's starting QB.  I don't think even Saints fans drool over him this hard. For the record I think this talk about "stans" and "fanboys" is cringe AF and I'm admittedly being rather hyperbolic because this is exactly the kind of discourse and language you personally love to engage in and it's fun to play in the mud from time to time.  There is absolutely no world where you do not meet your own criteria of a "Super Stan" for Shough with how loosely you apply that label to people for Bryce in here.  You're like the Final Boss of Super Stans.
