Tucking the ball and running isn’t going to be something the Panthers discourage.

“That’s a special talent that he has,’’ Chudzinski said. “He brings that to the table and hopefully he’ll be able to do that a lot and certainly the important thing is he’s doing it in the right situations and making good decisions.’’

just fugin wonderful

Ok first off can we grow up and not say 'haters'? Unless you are still in HS, the term is immature as hell.

Second, the guy has a ton to overcome. Dual threat college QB's don't pan out 99% of the time in the NFL. Picking one first overall, normally, is a stupid thing to do. That said, I hope to God he does EXACTLY what you hope he will too.

ANY QB would love to win 3 superbowls. As for as MVP, meh that is the same as playing fantasy football to me unless he wins a superbowl as well.

But lets quit getting onto people that feel the guy has knocks on him, because right now until he bucks the trend of guys like him it is going to be this way. Its not a personal shot at him, its a legit concern from decades of guys like him not making it in the NFL and we did make him the #1 overall pick which is ALWAYS going to be under extreme scrutiny. So relax and lets see how the kid does over his career.

Oh and how did he have a debut? Funny I didn't think we played a regular season game yet ( a shot at the author of the article ) :D

His performance on the first day is not a big concern to me. Its going to take him a while to get comfortable.

But if I was concerned, it would worry me that his best play was a run. If in 2-3 months, his best plays are running the ball, it will definitely worry me.

Think about it this way. If he starts completing 60-65% of his passes, with his athletic ability and scrambling ability you will have one of the most dominate QBs in the NFL.

If he only completes 55-60% he will only be really really good.

That poo is the exciting part.

To be honest, you've got to give him a season to work the kinks out... remember when Josh Freeman threw 5 picks against us and looked like hot garbage his rookie season?

Freeman moved the ball pretty well....if I recall most of his picks came in the redzone after he moved it downfield.
