Spotting a fake Panthers authentic jersey?

Speaking of eBay here is their wonderful Reebok NFL jersey authentication article that will really help you spot most of the fakes. It's short but if you buy jerseys other than stores and even some stores this is a must read:

I love this article and freshen up on it when I buy jerseys off of craigslist/ebay. I would assume you could use these general tips really on any jersey.

You can buy the real game worn stuff from this guy up in Boone

Most of the jersies are from guys that didn't make the team but you will recognize some names.

OMG an Eric Swann jersey would be awesome. I remember being so freaking excited when we got him.

Doesn't it describe the value? There are three kinds, screen, on-field, authentic.

The first is completely screen pressed and goes for pretty cheap 40 to 50 bucks

The on-field (?) has stitched numbers and letters and replica made to look like the ones on field. 80-100 bucks

Authentic jerseys are the most expensive on average a couple hundred, this is he top tier quality of stitching and I think it is an exact match to the jerseys actually worn by the player, everything is stitched and patched.

Could be wrong...

I think the middle one is the one least counter fitted and it really only pertains to which one, Iforrget but it should be in the link I posted earlier.

I think you are right when sellers call it authentic they are referring to the fact that everything is stitched on it, like a true authentic jersey.

I am not sure what types there were, I thought there was screen, EQT (some parts sewn with other parts screened), and then authentic which is true to what the player would wear on the field. I could be wrong though

Spotting a fake Panthers authentic jersey?

How can it be fake AND authentic?

When I say authentic, yes it is a lttle misleading by the wording they chose to describe it. Jerseys basically come in three different tiers:

Replica jerseys are screened all the way around. The name is usually smaller than normal too, and the number is basically just painted on the jersey. This is the cheapest one.

Premier or 'Tackle Twill' jerseys are the next level up, and have a sewn on name and numbers, but from my experience are still only one layer and have a screen-printed logo on the sleeves.

Authentic jerseys are the most expensive (usually $250-$300) and to my knowledge are basically what the players themselves wear on the field. I've only ever bought the second tier twill jerseys (usually $125-$150), but from what the good fellas on hear are saying they have the elastic cuff on the sleeve, and are a bit heavier than the others. The stripes on the sleeve are sewn, but the Panthers logo is still screen printed, albeit at a higher quality.

So when I ask about spotting a fake authentic jersey, I'm asking about spotting a fake top-tier Panthers jersey. It's confusing because my second tier twill jerseys are, in a sense, authentic because I purchased them at the online team store. Hope this makes at least a little sense.

    • Not in same league. Caldwell just hit a 10.00 on the RAS. 2nd out of 3830 from 1987 onward.  https://x.com/MathBomb/status/2027885023387349047 Yeah I mean Louis had a sub 9.00 RAS. Still very very good, no doubt. Louis is small, no 2 ways about it. He is likely a sub package lb in nickel packages or specialized WLB. Be fine ST gunner to start for sure. 6 foot flat and 220lb is pushing it for a starting LB. At 10 to 20lbs less than the other LBs he'd better be closer to the top in most timed drills. He's gonna be challenged when some of the wrs in the class can matchup bigger stronger faster, much less TE in the run game.  Yeah instinct matter and he has them, but that size is a massive red flag compared to many of the other LBS in this class.    Rodriguez is the LB that really climbed this week from a pure grit guy to great flash with athleticism people wrote off cause he was a QB at first at UVA. 18.4mph in the backpedal. Production the last 2 years were great. I'd be thrilled with him as the future mike.   Hill likely moved out of 51 and into the top 45 picks ( Ravens at 45 I can't imagine don't bite if he makes it there). Honestly Hill imo is a 1st rounder and I'd be ok with him as he fits the MLB we have missed the last few years. People would crow it's a reach but he's top 30 all-time I'm RAS for a LB at 9.9+ . Plus he was big time in big games when he was healthy. And that br a big check: meds.
    • Miller, Melo, Coby, Moose, and Bridges all on the floor at the same time must be a nightmare for defenses lol. Switch one out for Kon and still a nightmare. Coby really does bring a true 6th man value and looks like he could start if Melo was out after only a few games of getting his feet wet.
