That's JR's biggest flaw, not as a human but as a football man. Loyalty in life is an admirable quality, but in the business of football- the business of winning and losing you have to be more calculated and cold. It has to be impersonal, imho.

Hurney is the only GM in the league that would tear up a contract that severely limited the team's financial exposure for a 28 yr old coming off of 2 knee injuries, and then turn around and give the player 8 mil in guarantees. Hurney is the same guy that gave Delhomme a major extension, DeAngelo 20 mil in guarantees, CJ a whopping contract, and then traded away good draft currency to draft an undersized DE and a QB from a lower division school in the hopes of transforming him into a WR.
