CRAP!!!!!!!

THeRe GOeS THe #6 receiver!!!!!!!!

WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO!!!!!!!!

PANICC!!!!!!

He was having a good preseason. If we end up IR'ing him, it means we will be keeping Wallace Wright, David Clowney, or Charly Martin.

Wouldn't you of rather had Pilares? I say we wait it out. Steve Reed said it's a 4-6 week injury and there is still a week and a half until the season starts..

Isn't it time we fire whoever's in charge of player training/conditioning? These injuries are getting to be our biggest problem by far and at some point you have to look beyond plain old bad luck.

YEah...it's almost like the players didn't have all offseason to prepare. It's like the trainers didnt' do ANYTHING to help them before training camp.

FIRe the bum!

That's not the point. The point is our IR list is huge and our depth is pure crap on a crappy team. On a team like this, ANY injury is huge IMO.

So you think that the performance of our training/conditioning staff has ANY impact on whether a player gets an ankle sprain?

Guys, stop with the over-reacting.

Sprains and strains happen. They are a part of sports. No amount of training and conditioning will eliminate rolling an ankle.

if he isn't smith, olsen, shockey, williams, goodson, stewart, or whoever wins the WR2 job (which wouldn't have been pilares) the WRs just don't won't play all that big of a role this year. the system may call for a good few WRs being on the field, but targets don't spread out all that much to guys lower on the depth chart.

It's a matter of depth and him developing. :mad5:
it's a nominal hit to depth and he's very replaceable at this point.

sorry....not a big deal to me. not a big deal for the team. there are a lot more things to be concerned with than an injury to a 5th WR.

it's amazing to me how attached people got to this kid.

replaceable players can be replaced easily.

not a big deal. it's not like he was vital to the potential success of this team. it's not like this kid, as likeable as he may be, was going to make the difference between winning or losing.

not a big deal.

but please....continue stressing about it.

Pilares was pure crap depth....

Losing guys like him that likely wouldn't never see the field......aren't huge. We can go out tommorrow and sign someone of his caliber for the 2011 season.

How is our IR list huge?

Outside of Schwartz......that is one real loss. Ron Edwards if you want to count someone who never played a down in a Panther uniform.

There isn't much of a gap between Gettis and the other unimpressive WRs on our roster. So while he is a loss.....it is very debatable how that would impact us.

He will go on IR when they cut to 53 players. No biggie, he wasn't going to play that much anyway. Gives us a chance to keep someone else we wanted to bring in a guy from another squad after final cuts.

Dude has a history of injuries already counting last year in college.
