Who is left in FA that we could use?

Very true, but I was curious was McClain and Fua playing when we were getting ran over or was it Irvin and Hayden? I know Irvin was a starter and with him gone our line should get better. I think Harrison will be our starter with McClain coming in as a rotational guy. McClain is good but is said not to have enough energy to play every down. If Harrison can become a decent starter then I believe our defense will be good enough to be around the top 12.
yeah, i don't remember who was on the field at any point during that time, but there wasn't one that i was impressed with and i doubt they went without rotating the guys. could be, though.

No teams were looking for Fua and McClain when they ran the ball. Harrison doesn't change anything. We have the worst DT situation in football right now. If RR and Hurney let it stay this way I will be picking alot of RB who play against us in fantasy football.

Given the youth at each position (DT & CB), its hard to see how this will play out

As mentioned, we're set at the OL for now

I do think Marcus Harrison will be more effective than either Fua and McClain at this point but we still need an addition.

Josh Thomas will be a dime guy and this Stevie Brown kid is actually an interesting prospect. People forget we had 2 5-9 CBs in Ricky Manning & Reggie Howard supporting Reggie Howard in 2003. I don't see why our new defensive minded HC with a great CB coach in Meeks can't make something out of these guys.

I think we make a move via trade for a CB and get either Tommie or Igor for the other DT

Regardless, 1 DT, 1 CB, & 1 DE (maybe)

    • well, players dictating things only works if you have the right collection of players to dictate things.  and in all honesty, not sure if we can answer if we do or don't as fans given......there are no Thomas Davis types around that we know are actually about X and Y (based on years showing it).  Collective team is too new to us to know what these dudes are really about in terms of players carrying the burden of culture.
    • Moore can be put in one of the vet spots on IR. No one will be checking for him at the start of the season. But I would be very perturbed if we tried to go all Gettlemagic and stash an obvious talent like Horn on practice squad like we did Butker. If we can get through this year, next year it will be obvious Moore and AT will be gone, starting namely with AT's contract.
    • Culture change comes from the top down, not from drafting a 3 and no D guard. I doubt Lamelo is gonna take his cues from this 20yr old kid lol. If Brandon Miller couldn’t change the culture with how good he is and how much he hustles on both ends, Kon Knueppel sure as hell ain’t changing it. Ace Bailey by all accounts is also a great teammate and hard worker, btw, who was drafted by a team he supposedly didn’t want to go to yet he immediately bought in. And he’s got actual length and tools on both ends of the floor. I feel this pick is going to age like milk rather quickly.
