Winners and Losers

Winner: Tight Ends-haven't seen that kind of production from the tightend spot since San Diego '08

Definitely inclined to agree with this with the caveat that Olsen dropped one or two catchable balls that could have extended drives. I have a feeling that the best is yet to come with our TE's and that's scary. Cam and Shockey look like they have been playing together for years; it was pretty much pitch and catch between those two all game long.

Winner: Smith/Olsen/Shockey and Newton for obvious reasons. I told you Smith would have a resurgence with Newton's deep ball.

Losers: Pretty much the rest of the team. The oline played like crap in the run game (neither back avg over 3.7 ypc). Our Dline got abused especially by the run. And our ST sucked on both sides.

This whole team needs sooooo much work this was the Cards remember. I am exited as hell about Newton but it was proven that we need more then him to win in this league. If the D improves we could make a wildcard push because I have faith that our Oline will start to gel in the coming weeks and our run game will blow up with Cam slinging it around like that.

The team is vastly improved. But no playoffs this year, one in a million chance anyway.

Its no where near that bad. Its all up to the D IMO. If they play like this the whole season you are right we have no chance but if they start to gel in the coming weeks who knows. We have the talent to make a push. Its really up to the team pick up the system fast enough. And oh yeah Hurney sign a DT now.

We need to pick up a DT and DB. Pugh as the starting nickel or safety or whatever position he was playing isn't gonna cut it. Don't get me wrong I would love for my team to make the playoffs and magically pull off some miracles, but I just don't see it happening for another year or more.

Winner: Cam Newton. He will have people thinking the Panthers might make a playoff run. Can a rookie win MVP?:D

Loser: Special teams. How in the world do you not tackles Patrick Peterson when you were right in his face at about the same time he caught the punt? Did you think he called fair catch? I would rather you light the guy up like Dante Wesley did last year against the Buccanneers, than for you to think he called a fair catch and let him run right by you.

Loser: McDermott for moving Sherrod Martin from the middle of the field. If Martin stayed over the middle the whole game, Early Doucet would not have scored that touchdown.

Winners: Cam, Fua/McClain in the second half. Those two came out much better than the first half also they are rookies and growing pains will happen.

Losers: Everyone that got a penalty. We had so many drives that would have seen more first downs if we weren't 2-15 or 3-10 after gaining 10 yards

Most definitely on Fua/McClain... That B. Wells touchdown they were run over like pee wee players. But a little pride and a little 1st half experience. They seemed to play much better.

Winner CAM NEWTON way to put a plug in the Haters I have seen for months predicting BUST. And for not accepting the loss for any reason.

Winner: Steve Smith.. Gonna have monster year.

Loser: Too many dropped passes. D'Will had one, Olsen had one and Naane needs to be cut.. He needs to take lessons from SS and learn how to fight for a ball.

LOSER: All those crack smoking haters that think Cam was gonna be a bust. Come on...figure out how to explain his historic game.

    • We have our own issues with Bryce but it’s crazy how this franchise was dragged through the media the last 2 years for missing out on CJ Stroud and Caleb Williams   *whispers* Bryce played better than both of them in the playoffs the real mistake was mortgaging the future for Bryce when Drake Maye could have been there the next year
    • This board has a meltdown over literally everything. It means nothing.
    • O-line: 1 major player for Tackle (draft or FA) and a Center (if we don't resign Mayes). WR: Low pick or good FA signing? D-LIne: Def need a NT and a DE/OLB who can rush the QB. FA or Draft? TE; I don't know what they want to think of what they do? MLB: I think it's out 1st rd pick, but getting another in FA wouldn't hurt, thoughts? DBs; We need another sticky QB to play more man when needed. Again a 1st or 2nd rd pick IMO.  S: Everybody says we need a rangy centerfielder, draft or FA? Would you take one high in the draft? I don't use players because there are no guarantees who's there, just asking what makes sense. We know they'll fill "all" the holes in FA and then draft, so which FA are the better ones and which are just 1 year fillers? My thought: FA - Big DT, DE/OLB & MLB. 2 of 3 as those take a which to develop. Draft: MLB or Tackle, DB in the 2nd, DE/OLB in the 3rd. I think they need a solid T if Icki doesn't return better than before and Moton is getting old.  I also think thy need to resign BC on the O-line.
