According to NFL.com we are the best 0-2 team.

aside from the Vikings. No surprise there but the best part is they have us ranked ahead of the Jaguars who are at 1-1. Again not surprising but very amusing.

"Cam Newton is only the sixth quarterback to throw for over 400 yards in back-to-back games. Don't get too excited, as one of those guys was Billy Volek. What is worth getting excited about is that Newton is ready for the big boys. The dude just doesn't seem impressed by the NFL. While that's a big plus for Panthers fans, the defense could really use Jon Beason. Give Carolina credit -- it hung in with the Super Bowl champs, but Ron Rivera's guys have to be able to stop somebody. They allowed the Pack a staggering 8.1 yards per play after allowing 7.3 to the Cardinals."

Pretty obvious we're close to being a very good team. Just need to be more disciplined and clean up the RZ and run D. This team is playing far better than I expected at this point.

I would add tightening up against the "Big" TD play

We have given up the following in the first two games of the season:

80+ yard punt return for TD

80+ yard Pass TD from Kolb to Doucet

30+ yard Pass TD from Kolb to King (granted Beason blew his achilles)

40+ yard Pass TD from Rodgers to Jennings

80+ yard Pass TD from Rodgers to Nelson

Some huge scoring plays given up by our Defense and ST

Could have condensed a lot of that by just saying, kill Pugh. However, that's where the discipline comes in.

It's just pretty garbage to think that were the best team of a the worst category. Just stating that it's not something a franchise should be praised, happy, or excited about. I am excited for each and every week because were a very competitive team, but not excited about starting the season with losses.

We definitly have the talent of a good football team, we just need more depth which will come. Hell, the team we have now even with injuries and Pugh stinking the place up could easily be 0-2, and I never would've thought that during the offseason. These loses are a lot easier to watch than last years that's for sure.

    • There is quote from Canales somewhere when we hired him.  He was blunt he isn't some creative mind.  He was going to come in here and do X......and that was going to be closer to Foxball than anything we have seen.   And that largely has held true.   It's why he REALLY needs that Jake Delhomme type.  Baker was that.  The downfield gunslinger.   Big plays exist in his O.   You need a gambling QB to go make them downfield.  Bryce pulled the trigger once this week.  But he is just bad at it.  It was that Tmac deep ball that ended up being a PI.  Tmac had his dude beat.  That was the homerun ball this O sets up.   But Bryce underthrew it.  Tmac had to slam on the breaks and come to a full stop and wait for it.    Those just aren't Bryce's throws.    Sure we got the PI.  Some might celebrate that aspect.  But that throw highlights Bryce doesn't make those throws well.  Your WR shouldn't have to come to a complete stop and wait....when he has the guy clearly beat for the over the top play.  That's what the entire thing sets up.  Bryce rarely takes the shot.  When he does, it's generally not a great ball.
    • Sorry to hear that man. Keep that chin up, Panthers aren't worth taking up any headspace. You got this
    • Kinda of like when Hurney went on a GM search as a consultant and the best candidate he found was himself, lol!
