D-will responds to criticism on his facebook

Anyone else notice that he seems to lost a bit of his vision on the field? From our seats (nose bleeds) there were a couple of open run lanes that he either chose not to take for some reason or just flat out missed. He just doesnt seem to see the field the same as he has in the past. That being said he will turn it around, the great ones always do.

Smith is noticeably slower than he used to be, that doesn't mean he's still not an excellent receiver.

Nobody is immune from aging.

He is not any slower then he was in 05. Its just he has the same coverage on him all the time. Smiths best years were when he had a #2 WR to take some coverage off him. Even Great WR can be taken out of games with great coverage. Ask Fitz and Randy Moss before him. Its why losing Gettis was so big and why getting back Kealoha Pilares could be great. He could really kill teams with crossing routes when Smith takes the coverage away.

Disagree. The 32 yr old Smith simply can't accelerate like the 26 yr old version. Top end speed might not be drastically different but he isn't the same video game type player on the field.

Smith was a threat to take screens and smoke routes an easy 10+ yards with endess potential.....he just doesn't have the acceleration and moves now. Those had nothing to do w/ coverages etc.....it was just letting him be that punt returner he use to be.

Last year Steve Smith had lost a step and was washed up now its Dwill's turn. I love how players become washed up and lose steps only to gain them back the next year.

I disagree with Smith being washed up last year! Never in my opinion has he ever been washed up. He does mess up from time to time but I don't see where he couldn't have ever been mentioned as one of NFL's top play-makers. I think if he lost anything last year or previous years it was due to the fact we had a QB failure. It's hard to pad the stats when the QB sucks, you are double-teamed on alot of plays, or if the offense is constantly 3 and out.
