“And for those of you who have asked, NO way am I going to retire,” Davis wrote on his Twitter account, according to Steve Reed of the Gaston Gazette.

I just don't see how he can come back again. I wish him nothing but the best, but he got a slight leg whip to the knee this time and it tore his ACL. The hit wasn't really that severe.

I admire him for not giving up.

That knee is done. Dont mean to be negative here, but tearing it 3 different times would let me know I can't do what I used to anymore. And he's not getting younger

After going through 3 rehabs, you'd think he'd realize his knee is more cut out for the surgeons table than the NFL.

Still have to draft a replacement for him to be ready to go if he goes down again. He isn't going to be able to walk when he is older. I don't think this is wise for him. That knee can not hold up.

i hope he doesn't. my hopes will be exactly what they were for him this year. that he can come back and get back to his dominant self. i don't expect it, but i still hope it. they need his personality and leadership in that lockerroom and if he isn't hurt he's one of the best in the league.

i want him back and healthy. we should plan on that (him being healthy) not happening, though.

Nobody said he can't play but I'm pretty sure the risk of tearing it again in this dangerous sport is pretty high. A lot of contact and a lot of cutting and running. By time next year come he'll be 29

Yeah... I'm of the same mind.

And actually, not retiring is putting the team in a worse position. Even if you do return, you might not be 100%, you might tear it again, and now you've taken cap room up that could go to a couple young bloods that want to come out and make a name for themselves.

No disrepect intended here... but Davis needs to take one for the team.
