Has Godfrey morphed into a Pro Bowl SS?

Hes is definitely throwing his body out there and making some nice tackles this season but, he still has a long way to go but he is doin perty good.

I don't know about Pro Bowl, but he is playing well. People here dog him out but he is a lot better than most at his position. Captain has been playing really well while we are on the subject.

I wanted to start a thread earlier about Godfrey......

He stood out big time on that first drive. He made the last three tackles in a row, all by himself to stop the Bears first drive and hold them to a FG.

Godfrey seemed to be playing balls out today.

Finally, a thread worth making.

Some people are coming around to giving Godfrey credit, others still think that he if he misses a tackle he is responsible for it all. As if Ed Reed and Troy Polamalu don't miss tackles.

He has the body of a free safety he won't always be bringing down runningbacks with 20 pounds on him every time.

I do think Godfrey is good, but like orders he's just too inconsistent to get that level of recognition legitimately, not when Beason is only an alt, despite the nature of PB voting.

Glad we locked him up, overall he had a good game but he has a way to go before he's that good, consistently.

That's not what bothers me. I wasn't surprised when Hillis flattened him last season, that was just pure physics. My problem is the over running guys, like today, being late in protecting a CB over the top or taking bad angles.

All is fixable, but he's not there yet.

with that said Godfrey prob isn't pro bowl quality but he's getting there.

Our LBs are no where to be found because they are being eclipsed by 300lb linemen.(after our DTs are pancaked)

Yea, I dunno about perennial Pro Bowler yet, but he's playing well. He does miss tackles occasionally, but even Beason does too at times. He did make 3 awesome stops in a row keeping Chicago to a FG on that one drive.

is he all-pro? not atm. is he pro bowl? still popular enough to get fan votes and I don't think coaches would get him in unless all the other guys got hurt/in super bowl.

Mm I think he flashes pro bowl potential every now and then but he's still getting there. He's good but he has lots of room to be great. Probably one of if not the best up and coming Safeties in game.

He won't start getting really recognized until the Ed Reeds, T. Polamalu's start getting old.
