So... I quit smoking today...

I had to quit drinking over 10 yrs ago never touched it again. Ciggs are way harder for me to quit. Like anything else that's bad for your health, they must also go, not to mention you need a second job just to pay for the damn things.

I wish you much luck, be my inspiration!

I've not had a cigarette in almost 5 1/2 years. You can do it!!! And like someone else said, you just need to not start again. For me the first week was the toughest, I tried to sleep as much as I could to get through the physical withdrawls. After that it was pretty much smooth sailing. The trick that worked for me was every day when I woke up I told myself that I wasn't going to smoke that day and if I wanted a cigarette, I told myself, I wasn't going to smoke right then and went off to do something else. I took it one day at a time.

Best of luck to you and if you start getting to the point where you think you're going to die if you don't have a cigarette, just come here and write about it.

    • They will be if they extend Young but I don't think we're there just yet. Morgan and Canales are tied and I don't believe Tepper is going to go look for a new front office for Bryce as things stand.
    • I was playing around with the ESPN playoff predictor and it shows if 49ers and Rams finish with same record, the Rams hold the tiebreaker.
    • This is my thinking as well. Seattle played as good as they could on defense and Panthers still had a chance until those back to back turnovers.  I don't think the Rams played particularly well in their game against us, alot things went our way in order to win.  Someone pointed out the Rams were bad on the east coast road games and Seattle has been the better road team but they just fought a hard contested game against the Panthers, and now they travel to San Fran this week for their biggest game of the season to determine the division and if they are the overall #1 seed in the NFC or will be traveling for the Wildcard weekend.  If they lose they then travel back cross the country to play a team they've just beaten two weeks ago, not saying they won't be favored against the Panthers but the energy of hosting our first playoff game in 10 years along with the get back effect of having just lost to this team could be huge.
