Rivera will be dissapointed with 4 wins?

Ten - w (This better be a win and I hope we're not the 1 team CJ torches this year)

@det - l (This is actually winnable)

@ind - w (annihilation time)

@tb - w (riding high from the Indy game, TB is looking sloppy this year)

atl - w (Revenge back at home)

@hou - l (This could be our one blowout loss this year)

tb - w (Sweep those tampons)

@no - w (Brees in for one half)

We play Atlanta here for a classic battle of 85 & come Week 17, the Saints may rest if they've clinched the NFCS. The Packers will obviously be 1 in the playoffs, NO will be locked at 2 and will probably rest Brees the second half.

we have a legitimate shot at 8-8

Wow. I guess I get what he is saying but with the Titans & Colts among the final 8 games he should be disgusted if we only win 4. We have way more ability than that.

Cause Rivera understands the importance of offense efficiency and strength of schedule.

For the Panthers to win it requires that we do not turn over the ball or it requires we score 30 points when we have a negative turnover margin. Cam's got one of the worst interception rankings in the league. This would require we play the worst defenses and offense in the league. We have one of the most inefficient offenses in the league. So it requires we play one of the mos inefficient offenses and defenses in the league.

So the only two teams we really have a chance of beating based on how we played in the first 8 games is: Tampa Bay and Indianapolis.

We are ranked 21st in offense scoring efficiency. Tampa is 24th. Very close but Josh Freeman throws less picks than Cam so it depends on who gets lucky on that day, our D or their D.

Indianapolis is 30th in the league in scoring efficiency. Great chance of winning here.

We only beat Jacksonville, 29th in scoring offense and Washington 32nd in scoring offense. So Rivera knows the deal. Our O sucks.

What Rivera's saying is he doesn't see our offense's efficiency improving much this year if he's setting the standards that low. And it goes hand in hand with what I believe. Cam's standards are set incredibly low.

They were never to win as a rookie. They were to "perform" in the NFL. He proved he can perform in the first 2 games. Mission Accomplished. Job well done there. He "proved" his critics wrong that he can "perform". This is what this year was all about.

    • I’ve rarely ever been more sure of anything than losing out — but how can anyone say with a straight face “Bryce hasn’t improved, but Canales has and he’s masks his flaws”. You have to be so out of touch with reality to put one way above the other when discussing those two.
    • Last night was the classic example of a visiting team just holding on through the wave of emotion a home team has at the start of a big time game. Bama’s first two kickoff returns really set them back as far as playcalling and allowed OU to dictate field position. The emotion of the home crowd fed into what OU was doing at that point, and it felt like Bama would not be able to overcome that.     Once the kickoff returner was told to fair catch every kick, the game shifted, as Bama wasn’t starting each drive inside their own 15. It was then that Bama was able to make some plays, outscoring OU 34-7 the rest of the way.  I think the last 3/4 of the game proves Bama was the better team. OU was just able to ride the initial wave of emotion to a big lead, but Bama held on just enough.  However, had OU blocked the punt on Bama’s second drive and scored a TD (vice a FG on the ensuing drive), things likely would have been different.  Anyway, Roll Tide!
