What are your goals from this point on?

After two disappointing losses in a row, I think our expectations have been considerably lowered.

I'm looking at a few goals that we should be able to reach:

-Win a divisional game

-Finish with more wins than last year

-Don't allow anymore Special Teams TD returns for the rest of the season

Nothing too difficult here. The last one may require divine intervention but we're getting close to Christmas so now's the time for it.

We might beat the Bucs, but I really don't hold out a lot of hope for a division win this year. And God knows if Special Teams can stop another return TD, as they're absolutely terrible. At best, I think we might be able to win a game or two more than last year - if God is in His heaven, and all the breaks roll our way (which so far this year they have not). I'm at the point now of waiting for the draft and 2012.

I want to see a statement game. I envision it being against the Colts, but the team doesn't matter.

I want to see the Panthers dominate all phases of the game. Be efficient on offense, no turnovers, score points on 75% of drives. Cam throws 300 yards 2 TD 2 Rush TD. DWill and JStew combine for at least 125 yards and a score. Defense get a couple takeaways and set the offense up with good field position. 5 total sacks, 2 INT's, at least 1 score.

I just want a game where the other team just gets demoralized. It would be a sign of things to come, and the Panthers haven't made a statement to the NFL in a long time.

my goals have nothing to do with a football team since nothing I can possibly do can change anything

however, they just need to get the penalties under control and win a few games and that would be an improvement over the current situation

    • This is what I mean. I am not some huge BY fan. I honestly don't look at QBs the way a lot of you guys do. Right or wrong, I've always looked at them as just another cog in the machine. Didn't want BY or even a trade up for a QB in 2023. We saw in the Super Bowl how important the rest of the team is on any given Sunday. Now... so PFF, who has no reason to prop up BY, says he's first in 2 stat lines and Panthers "fans" are arguing why it's either wrong or a made up stat just to make BY look good. Even though they have multiple stat lines where he's literally last in. Like 32nd in the NFL. Some he's even lower than 32. Take a step back. Try to objectively self analyze. This is just not sensible.  Same thing I see with other teams' fans and their QBs though. We analyze every single throw on every single play. For every other QB, most here are only using highlights to judge. Makes a difference. We saw Stafford miss throws when they played Carolina - both games. We saw Love throw crap up when they played Carolina. We saw Dak miss throws when they played Carolina - and Pickens was putting on a SHOW. We saw Josh Allen win a game with 163 yards passing against Carolina, but if BY does it he's crap and can't pass for 200 yards. Gents... come on.
    • None of us think we're contenders this season but no reason we're doomed to 5 or 6 wins either. Dan has to have another 2025- like draft class and at least 2 key free agent signings. We're not Seattle but they don't win without 5 starters from their last 2 draft classes and Darnold and Lawrence in free agency.  Alas,  we'll have to wait one more season for a QB upgrade.
    • I've got nothing else to say really than: Ayup. Here we are again. Again.  All we can really hope for is progress. If we improve as much again, it'll be good. If we don't, it'll be foretold.
