Postgame Reaction from Cam and Rivera

I think that Chud and Cam think they need to stay aggressive to a fault once they get a lead. Cam seems to lose sight of the easy plays to pick up yards in smaller chunks, and the playcalls seem to always try to go for the throat instead of a methodical drive to put the opponent down.

the defense is bad b/c it lacks talent

x2

Even though I'd jump at a chance to grab Matt Kalil or Justin Blackmon if we're in position, we need talent on D. Our defense played like what they are, scrubs with a few above average players mixed in. LB/CB/DT/FS all could use depth or a starter. Add a Zach Brown at OLB or Morris Claiborne at CB in the first and Dontari Poe at DT in the second and we'll be a top 15 defense at least. Getting Beason back will be huge as well.

Same poo, different week. We put up a ton of points. Still losing the same old way.

Yeah, this time the defense gave a back-up RB his best game ever. The Panthers defense is way to charitable.

Can u imagine how many games this team could have won if the defense would just hold off a stronger team...How about holding off a team equal to their strenght on paper.

But u guys will make the NFLN top 5 team highlights with that return punt by your defense...;)

Sherrod Martin is without a doubt the worst tackler I've ever seen at the pro level. His flailing attempts get more pathetic each week.

He didn't look this bad last year, actually, he looked like a really solid tackler. I think it's just a net effect on the entire unit. I saw CJ and Hardy get pancaked multiple times today. Godfrey missed a tackle on one of the TD runs. Hardy missed on one as well. We just seem to be getting worse with each week.

    • Basically agree.  He is the one of that bunch that offers upgraded pass catching along with he is supposed to be kind of special.   Then you have the OL and the ideas that if they perform you can have JAG backs and still do well. So okay we could be fine.  But Brooks is important and to me that receiving element sets him apart.  So there sure is something riding on him.     What strikes me as incongruent is people over in Atlanta or those that follow them look at Penix with a third surgery and act like it is no big deal.      And we are on pins and needles over Brooks.  Either they should worry a lot more or we should worry a lot less.
    • I usually go a game or two optimist over the consensus here but this is too early for me to say. I need to see some players on the field.  I am not feeling real optimistic though.
    • Okay as a ‘take CJ’ fan I actually don’t obsess over CJ and Houston, contrary to the narrative.  But I thought I picked up some noise that his OL left a lot to be desired.    Not a single Beyce supporter would judge him harshly if he had a crappy OL. We all know that.    So be fair about it.  A QB needs to be protected.  Especially a guy that gets to his spot and wants to finish the play from there. Which CJ is.
