What? Why wouldn't he be?

He's been good for us this year.

Contract is up. Limited cap space. He is often injured. It might not be that we don't want him, just that he doesn't hold enough value to resign with limited cap space.

He has been great for us this year though.

He has played very well this season.

However, given his age, Barnidge's upside, and the fact that he will be able to demand a higher salary....I am not so sure that he will be back.

Would love to have him....just might come down to economics.

People always think Shockey is older than he really is....guy's only 31.

These are, imo, the safest players on the roster.

In an unrelated side note, I was thinking Saturday about posting something about Norwood being invisible this year. Practice squad guys and players coming off the couch were getting rotational time while Norwood was on the bench. Lo and behold, Sunday he was inactive. This is a guy that many thought had potential coming into this year (pre-camp). Obviously, RR thinks differently. Expect him to be gone next year.

Naanee has been a surprise lately. I'd say the guy has gotten much better. He's actually going for yards after the catch and not catching and falling immediately. The guys we got from San Diego may as well be penciled in for next year, including the Charger DL guy we just picked up, these are Rivera guys.
