Barkley staying at USC

My guess is Kalil will not make it past the Vikings unless they end up drafting 1st and Claiborne will be drafted by Tampa.I see us getting Reiff or Martin.I just do not see a DL,LB,or cb worthy of a top 10 pick.To me a OT will have an imediate impact by improving our running game and giving added prtection to our franchise qb.

I agree if Claiborne isn't available when we pick there's not a DL or CB worth top 10 definitely. I'm warming slightly to the idea of one of the top LBs at or below 10, but I still would feel hesitant about it. Inside I'd REALLY hate to pick an OT in the draft that Kalil's brother comes out and it not be him, but I know it would take a perfect storm for that to work out for us anyway (or a probably ridiculous trade). If Claiborne, Kalil and Blackmon are all off the board, Reiff or Martin could very well be the best value for us.

If Reiff and Martin are the best value for us, I would def be looking to trade down 7-8 spots to take a LB and pick up an additional 2nd round pick. We could really use the ammunition.

    • KP is not a straight up carbon copy but they look awful close to me.  T
    • You are right. At the same time I don’t think people are watching games going come on Bryce put it on the ground or sail it OB or whatever. They just have trouble seeing him turning his 3 or four or five top games of 2025 into the weekly standard outing. Which you expect for the kind of money he will ask for (speaking for myself anyway).
    • In terms of comparing Pickett and Young's arm talent it's basically a push at best. Pickett is sitting at 6.2 yards per pass attempt for his career while Bryce sits at 6.0 Last season Bryce was 6.3 in yards per pass attempt. Only Justin Fields Spencer Rattler (both 6.2) Kyler Murray (6.0) 41 year old Joe Flacco (6.0) 44 year old Phillip Rivers (5.9) rookie Cam Ward (5.9) and Tyrod Taylor (5.8) had less pass yards per attempt than Bryce Young in his third season as a starter. Folks going around acting as if it is beyond the pale to say Pickett might have a better arm than Young are living in an alternate reality. You can choose to not believe your own eyes after 46 games but everyone else will acknowledge reality and move forward accordingly.
