seems to me Hurney's drafts have given Hurney 5 more years...

If he comes up big in this years FA and Draft I believe he will be the manager of a Super Bowl Dynasty...

so yeah.. he can stay!

If not.. then we'll call this one lucky and be stuck with him regardless.

Here's hoping to the former!

I'm guessing that the REAL reason that PK talked to JR was to have JR ask Cam if he would speak to him. I bet SI's putting pressure on him to get an interview.

PK didn't talk to JR. That quote from JR is in every article on the Panthers today. AP release most likely.

I do give credit to PK for going back on his original remarks about Cam. Most of the other idiots hope everyone else forgets anything they ever said about Cam. I wouldn't be surprised if most of them say next year

"I told you Cam was going to be an elite QB."

A lot of sports writers lost what little credibility they had in making predictions when they slammed Cam before the draft. Their predictions spilled over into this forum and had our own fans wanting to pass on Cam, and draft PP7, Fairley, or anyone, just not Cam. I didn't believe PK or the other writers for an instant, and I gave Cam a very high evaluation on this forum before the daft. I wanted Cam, or AJ Green to be our pick.

The thing that totally shocked me is how well Chris Weinke prepared Cam for this season. Weinke had Cam ready right out of the gate, week 1 Cam was ready to rock. That's something I'll never forget, and Weinke, a medicore QB here, was in large part responsible for Cam having such a great season. Props to Weinke, an unsung hero.

Good point, Weinke basically took over the job of QB coach during the lockout. I wouldnt be surprised if he gets a job for some team out of it.

Heck, maybe this is a better way to develop QBs, keep them away from the rest of the team for a while to get specialized one on one coaching and help the transition to an NFL offense
