There was a kid from Tulsa a couple of years ago who led the nation all-time in all purpose yards. We should bring him in if he is out of jail. Kid got his girlfriend to ring up like a $1000 worth of merch for like $20. Its not a violent crime so I would take him as an undrafted free agent.

Glad we finally got a thread going on this subject. But seriously neither one has done much of anything.

Pilares has done quite a bit considering his limited number of returns. I agree that Edwards has done nothing though. Probably time to end the Edwards experiment. He just isn't that fast, at least not in pads anyway.

i just don't see the speed with pilares. he got caught by the kicker in one game. he might have returned our first kick-off in 8 years, but that's not to say his job is secure.

as far as armanti, he has shown absolutely no promise.

i don't think anyone is advocating for goodson to return kicks.

we don't have to limit ourselves to one or the other. go out and get someone. i swear, people on here can be so shortsighted sometimes.

I hope T.J. Graham from NC State is still available in the 4th -5th round for us to draft. Decent WR, but one of the best KR/PR in the NCAA for the past few years

That's it.

Truly great returners are very rare, and usually such gifted athletes are better used at other positions. Take Steve Smith, for example. Sure, he was a great returner early on, but it would be foolish to relegate him just to return duty.

We could go out and grab players with experience in returning, and then they could be no better than our current options. Pilares and Hogan both had experience returning in college, right? I personally think Pilares has shown enough to at least have a shot at the job.

Like others have said, the special teams unit as a whole isn't really doing their part to open holes for these returners in the first place. Don't you think there's a reason that you see little difference, no matter who is back there?

If we can upgrade, that's all well and good -- but really good returners don't grow on trees.
