Who has a better season next year?

Looked like Gettis had the edge going into the season this year, but the injury to Gettis and experience Lafell gained on him this year makes it a tough call.

LaFell...he has earned the starting role and should be a starter going into the season. Its also about trust...I think Lafell has earned the trust of the coaching staff.

as rookie's LaFell looked to be more complete.

LaFell is coming off a strong 2nd season. I think he has potential to really make progress in year 3 (which is big for WRs).

I think Gettis will be more if a situational WR running his deep route.

I think LaFell has the better season next year as well. He came around the last few games and although I think Gettis is going to be a stud, LaFell will have the better year next season.

We have a good 1-2-3 punch at WR next year. Going to be interesting to see who fills those final 2 spots.

LaFell will breakout next year imo. Gettis has the talent for sure to have a good year, but we don't know how he'll rebound. Knee injuries are big for receivers.

I'm expecting Lafell to get 800+ yards next season.

I think LaFell will have an incredible year next year, also.

I think the mix of receivers we have are very good.

Smitty is electric, can do multiple things really well, and is a true leader.

LaFell is strong, bulky, can make routes across the middle, and can block really well.

Gettis is fast, runs a really awesome deep route, and provides someone who can take the top off the defense.

I personally think Gettis is getting lost in all of this because he has taken a year off.

I like both LaFell and Gettis and not going to get caught up in the numbers. Both will have similar numbers IMO.

They are different types of receivers. Lafell is a possession receiver while Gettis is someone you put on the outside for mismatches with his speed and size.

I would like to see Gettis & Lafell do some "Off-season" workouts with Cam. I know I heard Cam is going to be "working" like normal until the Superbowl. Maybe Cam's LEADERSHIP in this area will bring other guys in, that could use a little extra work for the upcoming Playoff run next year!

Anyone think this is possible?

The good thing is we have both. Unless for some reason we draft Blackmon or something, which won't happen then LaFell will start the season 2nd on the depth chart, and Gettis will be 3rd. Gettis will have to play well all season to take the 2nd spot away. I think they both will be studs.

And like I have said before Steve Smith said that Gettis is the fastest, strongest, biggest, best catching, and best deep threat the Panthers have at receiver. He is better than LAFell in all of those categories than LaFell according to Smith. I like them both though and am glad we have both.
