Should we resign Shockey?

The biggest questions to me about Shockey were health and being a positive force. He answered both those questions very well this year. I would be like others and give him a 2 year contract. He is productive and loves this offense. in 2014 we can decide if he is done or not. Right now he is our best TE period.

If the money that would go to Shockey can help the defense I would let him walk. Attachment's to likable veterens has burned this team in the past.

24 of his 37 catches were for first downs (64%) trailing only Steve Smith by a few percentage points. Seems to me he was very integral to the offense and deserves to be resigned.

Only on the cheap. You have to ask yourself an honest question. When shock catches a pass do you think "He might take it all the way"? You don't. This team is young. We need to develop talent for the long haul. Trade back and get dwayne allen our of clemson

I think he's been included as part of the "core" :)

Wouldn't be surprised to see Shockey and Senn at the very least receive extensions.

I can't imagine why we wouldn't move to keep him. Not only is he more that capable and seems to have a knack for finding the first down marker he's a fiery guy and I think he will mesh well with the attitude that it appears this team wants to grow in the locker room.

As long as he doesn't demand exorbitant amounts of money I would be extremely upset if he was not retained.
