Stew says he'd love to stay a panther long term

Restructure DeAngelo's contract and keep Double Trouble in Charlotte. I'm sure DeAngelo wouldn't have a huge problem with it considering it also increases the longevity of his career due to splitting carries.

give me 1 reason why we SHOULDNT keep Stew here. thats ridicoulous if Hurney lets him walk..
The only reason would be the money obviously but Hurney will figure something out starting with DWill's contract.

It's possible they think with Cam as the QB being a running threat they only need one back behind him.

I'd like to keep Stew here, don't get me wrong, and I don't agree with that at all. Just guessing what they might be considering. Ultimately I think they'll decide to keep him here (or at least try to) but that might be what's slowing down the trigger pulling.

Williams doesn't need to restructure and they will keep Stewart. He will be given a new contract sometime during 2012. Williams contract is front loaded for 2011 and 2012. It is reasonable after that and was devised with the idea of keeping Stewart when his contract expires after the 2012 season.

    • The good thing about replacing a bad player is you really have nothing to lose. If their replacement is bad so what, you didn't get much worse and probably saved money.
    • I came over from the old Panthers Insider site. When Fox Sports bought that platform it slowly just started dying plus the guy who ran that site was dealing with some pretty significant health issues so the whole thing just slowly fell apart. Quite a few of us migrated over here. Not sure how many are still around.  I miss that place. It struck a nice balance of having enough active posters to keep productive conversation flowing but didn't have so much traffic that you end up with a lot of trolling BS. This place is getting there though since we shutdown new registrations but at some point we're going to have to open it back up or we'll watch this place slowly die off too as posters fall off for one reason or another. We just have to figure out a way to filter out the spam bots. It was a never ending battle to ban the spam bots to keep then from overrunning the site. You'd think they'd be a little more strategic. I mean, if you fill a site with nothing but spam people are just going to stop coming so it's not a sustainable model. But nope, every one of them makes dozens of duplicate threads filling up pages upon pages as soon as their account goes live.
    • lol...I don't remember that.  Although recalling what I had for breakfast yesterday is sometimes a challenge.  Hope it was a positive thing.
