Tired of the Kirkpatrick hype.

If we had Revis he still wouldn't be able to cover opposing WR's with the amount of time we give QB's to throw the ball.
one way or another we are going to have to upgrade both DT and CB, imo.

we need to get more push up the middle and cause more disruption and we've got to quit making it so easy for WRs to get the ball when it's thrown their way.

if we don't go DT (and i'm of the persuasion that it should be an athletic and mobile DT rather than just some fat guy like still) then we should make a strong move for garay.

we should draft a CB in the first couple rounds regardless of what else we do.

my hope is that brockers is what he seems to be and we can get him and one of the top 3-4 CBs in the draft.

Hopefully DT is upgraded with the return of a healthy Ron Edwards. I don't know what type of play we will get from him, however it is hard to imagine it being much worse than what Fua did while he was starting.

We are in a favorable position come draft day, as we can use an upgrade at nearly every defensive position. We should be able to take the best defensive player left on the board and address a huge need (no matter the position that player plays)

agreed. i hope when it coules down to it they go after the guy with the most upside and most potential to be a gamechanger than someone who can be seen as simply a stabilizing force.

we need to stick with the trend of being bold and taking risks rather than trying to play it safe.

Draft LOT in the first--you will not find a quality T later in the draft or where we will be drafting next year. You do not alway address a need directly. People on here are saying "We are going DEFENSE not offense!!" Well, how good is that Offense with Cam in the Hospital. Did you see him limping around vs. New Orleans? Bell was getting abused.

Draft the LT, move Bell to RG. Schwartz to LG. Cut Wharton, save $5 million. Get a DT in free agency.

Second round, draft Markelle Martin, the best FS in college. He is smart and a leader. Great tackler. Then we would have a QB in the secondary. Tired of the finger pointing after getting burned? Sherrod Martin is no leader. He is the most confused player on D. How can he call coverages? THe ENTIRE secondary gets better with Markelle Martin.

What are the other needs again?

Still doesn't look like just some fat guy. He's only listed as 1 lb heavier than Brockers and like half an inch shorter. He's basically the same mold, he's an athletic mobile DT also. I'd rather have Brockers, myself. But maybe you're thinking of Ta'amu. He's "just some fat guy". Even Poe is really athletic for his size, but he's more of a "just some fat guy" than Still.

I really like Markelle Martin, gonna re-watch the Okla st - stanford game and see how he looked against Luck.

I'm big on Markelle too, but if we go DT or anything other than CB in the 1st I will go ballistic if we don't get a CB in the 2nd (assuming we don't sign a starter in the offseason). Captain had to be the worst starting CB2 in the league last year and I don't want all our eggs in the Hogan basket. That's what we did with Captain this past offseason and we got burned because of it.

first two picks need to be CB and DT. Now whichever order happens to be the better sequence depends on the talent available at 8/9.
