I just hope we do what we did with the O-line in 08'. Bring a poo ton of DTs in to TC and let them battle it out.

You don't get rid of a third round guy like Fua who is on a rookie contract in his second year unless he is really bad. And there is no reason to believe that we have to get rid of Kearse either. We will take at least 6 DTs into camp and will keep 4 or 5 on the roster. Lets see how they do in cap and during the season before we kick anyone to the curb. Rookie DTs usually make their biggest progress between their first and second years.

don't understand this whole get rid of guys after one season stuff, all of our dt's have played well at times(some more than others) with edwards expected to be back next season I doubt we look to do much at d tackle but that could change as the months go on. i expect us to look to add playmakers in the lb & secondary units first & try to coach up most of the guys we have on the roster already at d tackle unless we can get somebody that upgrades the postion from day 1

I predict this is exactly what the Panthers will do. They already spent 2 third round picks last year on DT, and Edwards is coming back.

Some of you need to get a clue. Players need time to develop and teams are'nt getting rid of 3rd round picks after one year. Mcclain and Fua are assured spots, everyone else tights it out including Edwards.

I really like Kearse and think he has the most upside of anyone on the team at the DT position.
