Who will be our backup QB next year?

Cam is a beast and will win a lot of games for us in the future. My question is, who backs him up? We can not have the team collapse if Cam were to get hurt, ala the Manning effect. Do we bring in another QB with similar style of Cam for our backup? Kind of bored today and really haven't seen this topic discussed. Who is out there that would make a good backup to Cam?

I hope DA or as said above Russell Wilson (if he goes undrafted). I wouldn't be shocked if it's just Clausen though. He will be given a lot of preseason snaps regardless to try and get something for him. The main reasons DA came in was to help Cam/start if Cam weren't ready. Both of those are no longer problems.

I would like someone with the same skill set as Cam. Someone mentioned Seneca Wallace a couple weeks ago. I would be in favor of that. If we can't get anyone like that, DA would be fine.
The closest free agents to that would be Josh Johnson or Dennis Dixon (or Vince Young).

I imagine that it would DA coming back. I can see no reason to let him go unless he still thinks that he can start somewhere. . .lol.

    • I mean this is legit AF statement....you don't spend that draft capital on a project just like you don't trade up for an injured RB either, which was done in the same draft.  That draft IMO was a necessary evil for DM to learn from his mistakes (I think he did but some may not). Also I have to mention I'm a big Coker fan and think getting him as an UDFA was obv a steal.  Coker is the better WR2 at this point as Legette and its not even debatable unfortunately.  Give him year 3 but don't expect much from him.  Continue in the offseason with adding as much talent and competition on the roster as possible including WR.  Or just trade his ass for peanuts and continue to build roster by any means.......
    • Losing him was a huge loss. Look at how the Bears went from a 5 win team to now a 11 win team. The Lions offensive line is bad this year, secondary is bad and Campbell going for it on 4th down all the time has cost them games instead of taking the Field Goals. Goff is inconsistent as well.
    • Nah we just talking about giving a platform and normalizing predators (who both beat women) opinions and celebrating it if it fits your narrative.  If that's fun I'm fine being a miserable fug by not supporting P.O.S like that. N b4 you call me a libtard or some other dumb ish know I'm an Anarchist/Libertarian and believe both these dudes should get a complete ass whooping (at min) or something worse for what they have done to women in this world.
