I actually thought drafting Clausen was going to be a good thing. I believe he would learn and grow while moore had the reins. None of that worked out but if it had we wouldn't have Cam.

As KK noted the offseason was the spring of the year following the season that he did well. So I was not worried about QB after the 2006 season. Although Jake missed a few games in 2006 with a bad thumb, he came back that last game and played very well. The way 2007 started off it was justfiable not to worry about QB. Then Jakes goes down and it was pretty bad until now.

We all understand that we're picking the offseason BEFORE the season began in which we became concerned? So if Jake did good in 2007, but bad in 2008, you would say the 2008 offseason. Because the offseason in 2008 was before the 2008 season in which Jake sh** the bed. And right now is the 2012 offseason.
