Don't be surprised when Carolina goes Offensive Line in the first..

Spoken like someone who knows ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about football and free agency.

Take a look this year at the WR's that are in FA. There are ALWAYS top WR's that make it to FA and are available.

Top Left Tackles NEVER make it to FA. They are widely considered the 2nd most important position on the team....being QB. As such, they are paid a high salary and are an extremely hot commodity. When a team gets one, they never let them go during their prime.

I don't know why you have sort a deep vengeance towards me, but I for one find it hilarious. Insulting me while 'trying' to prove your point as if you're more superior to me......funny.

Yeah there are many WR's in FA but the Panthers would never sign one because they believe in drafting and developing. Most come with hefty price tags.

Gross has 3 or 4 more years. You don't take an offensive tackle 3 years ahead of time. There are plenty of quality offensive tackles in the 2nd round of the draft. If this organization is that worried about finding a replacement for Jordan Gross that we would spend a 2nd first round pick in the last 4 years on an offensive tackle then we need to find a new GM. Hurney is paid to find talent in rounds 1-7...not just round 1. You and me could pull the trigger on first round draft picks. GMs are supposed to make their money in the 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th rounds.

If Reiff is there and we are ready to cut Jeff Otah loose then yeah...draft him. But if we have confidence in Otah coming back then don't spend the #8 overall pick on an OT. If we need that position THAT BADLY next year then try to trade up or maybe Hurney can earn a freakin paycheck and find a guy deeper in the draft.

Walter is a former scout. Bleacher Report is like the GED of diplomas.

And if Wharton is not cut or restructured, something subjective is going on. He sucked on pass plays. He has a good reputation, but he is worth a fraction of his salary.

this might be a mind blowing observation, but maybe he just had a bad year statistically?

Did not mean it as an insult or a vendeta against you.

Just pointed out that your logic is very flawed.

Top WR's in FA happen all the time. You never find top quality OT's hitting the FA market. You usually find the studs only in the top of the first round.

It all boils down to Otah......I certainly would not count Reiff off.

If we actually do pick at 8 or 9 without trading down or up, I hope we take either an OT or a LB. We clearly need DT and CB help, but with this would make me a lot more comfortable, considering the options.

There is no LB even close to being worth the 8/9 pick.

Upshaw is a gamer....but he is a 3-4 LB.

The more I think about the more trading down 5 or 6 spots and picking up a 3rd to replace the one we traded for Olsen makes a lot of sense. Then just picking BPA that falls to us (either Brockers, Decastro, Martin, or Jenkins). With only asking a 3rd I think it is a strong possibility someone would take that trade. I wouldn't mind taking Brockers (would rather have Jenkins however) at that point. Then we can take G Senio Kelemete with that 3rd pick he is the only other G I want in this draft aside from Decastro. Hes raw (played DT his first year then switched to G then the next year to LT) but has massive potential and an outstanding work ethic. He comes in as a T but at his size (6'3 300lbs) he will be a G at this level.

I want to trade with the patriots

Our early 1st and early 2nd for their two late 1sts and their their late 2nd

they get 8/9 and a 41 pick to add to their 49

we get their 27 and 31 plus their 61

Is this fair? Do they need defense this bad to try and capitalize one more time before Mallet takes over?

They could honestly pull an Atlanta and throw the house at us for our first to try and get the next superstar receiver, ala Blackmon or Floyd.

Thats something I've heard them being open to.

If Blackmon falls to us I wouldn't be surprised if the Pats blow up the Panther's war room phone.
