A What if for you.

Let's say the NY Giants have had enough of Brandin Jacobs. Lets also consider like ESPN that they have too many pass rushers and cannot afford them all.

Here is the what if.

They call Hurney and want to trade us Osi for JStew. What should we do?

just thinking it might be at least tempting to get a DE that is as good or better than either we have for a part time RB that we will lose after this season.

Osi isn't a better all around DE than a healthy Johnson. Teams don't gameplan to take Osi out of games b/c of all the NYG pass rushers.

No point trading away your best and youngest RB for a 30 yr old problem child DE.

also, Carolina will not lose Stewart if that means keeping DeAngelo. They will try to keep both. If they are forced to part ways after next season with a RB it will be Williams.

    • No one way to do it, it does appear that with the bigger draft picks of the last 5 years…..majority haven’t steered clear of young QBs on the roster being their hopeful guy. Especially past their rookie seasons but even some the biggest ones have had it early.   As far as Andy Dalton, the two young guys he has “mentored”…..have had very rough NFL starts.  Which really ask the why the heck is Dalton here.   He doesn’t really check any box.  No young potential.  Can’t step in and win.  And his mentor track record with Fields and now Bryce is bad
    • I had thought the Panthers might let him play out his contract this year and hope he stays healthy. If not draft a left tackle and move Ekwonu to right tackle.
    • Frankly, if most teams in the NFL lose their starting QB for a significant amount of time, they're screwed. The fantasy is that one has a future Tony Romo or a Nick Foles that can carry a stacked team. The reality is that you might get roughly 3~5 games out of your backup before it all falls apart. Remember all of Peyton Manning's backups? Utterly terrible. Speaking of backup QB's, Raiders may need one. https://www.nfl.com/news/raiders-qb-aidan-o-connell-suffered-fractured-wrist-in-preseason-finale-expected-to-be-out-6-8-weeks
