i hope greg williams is forced out of the league and any competitive environment for the remainder of his life. its sickening to think someone paid this man anything at all when his goal was to ruin the careers of others and hurt the well being of players and their families. society has no place for people like him, he should be put behind bars.

I bet they lose a 1st round pick, at least. Patriots did for videotaping signals and this is worse.

Eh, I wouldn't say this is worse than blatant cheating.

But it is just about the next worse thing. Only going to make the transition of power in the NFC South that much faster.

This is way worse than cheating.

You are putting safety in question and that is the number one issue facing the NFL today.

You are talking about a team intentially trying to cause physical harm to opposing teams players. It's not too far fetched to think that someone may face criminal charges.

Imagine if they had succeeded in blowing out Smith's knee and ending his career. In my opinion, that is assault.

not worse than cheating?

Hurting the sanctity of the game or hurting human beings? I don't know man. This can go either way. We'll have to see how Goodell sees this. I can't wait.

Wow, read some of the stuff in this article:

http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/7638603/new-orleans-saints-defense-had-bounty-program-nfl-says

$1,000 for a knock out and $1,500 for a cart off.

Goodell's reign has been almost exclusively about player saftey. I think he is going to come down hard on this and make an example of the saints. it would not suprise me to see them face a heavy fine and also forfeit multiple draft picks (including the 2013 1st)

Smitty shudda got paid for knockin out Malcolm Jenkins hoe ass.

crazy. Goodell better come down hard if he wants to maintain any semblance of a legacy towards promoting player safety.

poo like this just makes those doomsday scenarios about football falling to pieces due to lawsuits seem all the more possible.

How can you be this stupid? There's a difference between being tough and being dirty.
