Saints in BIG trouble...

Hate to break it to you Spanky but Brees is as good as locked in for the next 6 years. Just hold tight a little longer and the master plan will be complete.

Was losing your next two 1st round picks, your coaching staff and half of the starters off your team part of 'the master plan' too? Well....ok, I guess.

Yea losing that first round pic this year is going to be tough. Wait, we used that pic already. Ok, losing the coach is going to hurt, wait that happened last year and we went 13-3. Hmmmm not sure what we will do lmao

LeCharles Bentley doesn't think the Saints offense will suffer a drop-off after losing guard Carl Nicks and replacing him with Ben Grubbs in free agency. Bentley praised Saints General Manager Mickey Loomis for making an "ideal" value move.

"I've got to say one guy's an 8, and the other guy's a 7. There's not a big drop-off in any facet of the game, run game or pass game," said Bentley, who said a "10" on his scale is reserved for Hall of Fame-type guards like Larry Allen, Randall McDaniel and Dwight Stephenson. "In all actuality, Ben Grubbs might be a bit better in the run game."

Bentley, who worked briefly as a media analyst in Cleveland following his playing career, now trains NFL and college offensive linemen at his O-Line Academy outside of Cleveland. He's very familiar with Grubbs, having seen him so much when he was playing for the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC North division. And he's always been impressed by what he's seen.

"He's a naturally explosive player, plays with tenacity and very good leverage," Bentley said of the 6-foot-3, 310-pound Grubbs, whom he said is more developed as a run blocker both because of how he's built and because of the Ravens' style of offense. "You're talking about a guy that is wired and built to play in a division predicated on running the football. That's gonna shine through consistently.

"I think he's a very effective football player. A future Hall of Fame type player? No, but those guys are few and far between."

Bentley said Nicks, who signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, might one day earn a place in that Hall of Fame-caliber class. But since Nicks' new contract averaged $9.5 million per year and Grubbs' deal is worth just over $7 million per year, Bentley thinks the Saints came out even.

"It's not gonna have that much effect on the offense as a whole," Bentley said. "The bottom line is they lost a good player but picked up a good player as well. That's what you want. You have to give credit where credit is due - Mickey Loomis made a good swap and saved money in the process. That's the ideal world. It's a win-win for everybody. Nicks got the contract he wanted and Grubbs got the contract he wanted."

Right because Bentley is an expert, how are his staph infections doing?

I find it funny that you are so pathetic that you come here attempting to validate your dirty organizations moves, its quite amusing how you need to convince us, someone is scared.

Ben Grubbs was offered 6.5mil by Ravens and signed with Saints for 7.2mil, only about 10% more money. Apparently money wasn't the biggest motivation.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

"He went with the team that offered him more money. Apparently money wasn't his motivation."

you know someone's a middle-school dropout when they add "big" to the beginning of their name

Damn, the Saints are pretty uncaring for the fellow/former teammates.

So you only came out even because you saved some money. Bentley is a smart man, Saints just got worse and you confirm it.

Sad for Saints that those 2.5 mil is not nearly enough for you to sign the hometeam discount mole and that he wont sign his tag.

You really thing Goodell is going to be dumb enough to penalize you for a pick that you already used?

Who's your HC? Who's your GM? Who's your QB? Who's on your defense? You don't know any of those answers right now.

Who's going back to the NFCS basement? The Taints.

Get in line and watch all of your questions get answered:

Payton and Loomis will get nothing more than a wrist slap couple of games suspension and some cash penalty at most

I can promise you Brees will sign a multi year contract and all will be in love again

Defense will be better than before, Vilma is going to be replaced by a younger better version, better corners and best of all best DC in the league.

14-2, 15-1 very real possibility
