He is old and has baggage...if he wants to play and Carolina wants him it should be no issue. Not sure they need to worry about him going to another team. we run an attractive scheme for him...doubt many places he would chose over us for a couple more dollars. The known contenders don't want him.

I think Shockey wants more $$$ than what Panthers value him at. I think they will let him test the market and if he don't stick anywhere they will sign him cheaper, the same case scenario with Schwartz.

What do restricted free agents have to do with Shockey? He totally isn't eligible.

I kind of doubt we want to keep Schwartz as players don't come much cheaper than a restricted free agent tender. They may think the injury is pretty serious going forward.
