By saying, "I'm not going there". Manning has teams scrambling!

As if the stakes in the Peyton Manning sweepstakes weren’t high enough.

Once the three front-runners to sign Manning emerged — Denver, Arizona and Miami — two other teams made major moves Friday night to address their quarterback situations. As first reported by FOXSports.com NFL insider Jay Glazer, the traded a boatload of draft picks to St. Louis for the No. 2 pick in the draft. The selection will be used on Baylor’s Robert Griffin III.

IF the Broncos land Peyton, I look for the Dolphins to make a strong bid for The Golden Calf of Bristol! IMO

Look how NOT landing Peyton will shake teams up--was the Jets contract to Sanchez related to the interest? Was the amount Washington gave up related to the fact that Manning refused to play in DC?

Here are some more subtle costs if Manning goes elswehere: Denver's relationship with The Golden Calf of Bristol--he is "rattled." After telling him that he is the starter going into 2012, how do you restore the confidence the team has in him? What does Arizona do with the Kolb roster bonus if Manning has not decided? What will Miami, Seattle, and KC do if they do not land Manning or Flynn?

The Manning & the Colts were to Denver, what Brady and the Partiots were to the Colts.

Peyton Manning & Marvin Harrison owned Champ Bailey every time they met in the Playoffs! Harrison smoked him out of his cleats!

Personally, I'd love to see Peyton go to the Cards! Holy poo! Can you imagine Manning to Fitzgerald! They'd rip defenses up and down the NFC!

what coach and GM would ever have confidence in The Golden Calf of Bristol? you can't restore something you never had in the 1st place.. which is even more evident because they never said he was the starter for 2012, but he would be the starter going into TC. which is a statement of no confidence...

    • The Panthers did a great job of countering the Falcons' pass rush in the run game. They utilized veteran wideout David Moore, a good run blocker on the perimeter, as the motion man to help with crack-toss plays and trap blocks. It was also interesting to see more Sean McVay wide zone concepts in Canales’ version, especially with the “insert” concept that is a table in these systems.   Second-year cornerback Chau Smith-Wade didn’t come out of the gates hot, but settled in and put forth a fine performance. His spacing in zone coverage tightened up and it began to have an impact later on—like on his pick-six of quarterback Michael Penix Jr. He also showcased good matching capabilities while having some impressive man reps and tackles in space. You have to appreciate how well Ejiro Evero’s defense rallied to the football. Some runs that would, in the past, go for chunk yardage were contained. Tackling was improved on all three levels of the field. Wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan was once again the leader in receiving yards (48) on Sunday, but he struggled away from the box score with a couple of drops. As head coach Dave Canales noted Monday afternoon, the Falcons did a great job staying in phases on McMillan, especially at the top of routes. Rookie safety Lathan Ransom showed more flashes of control as a tackler. He continues to show the physicality that is needed in Evero’s defense while having the athleticism and downhill burst to click and close sideline to sideline or north/south. https://pantherswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/panthers/2025/09/23/panthers-film-review-falcons-week-3/86308214007/
    • Horn + Jackson + Smith-Wade might be the best CB trio we've had in a minute.
    • I think we would have had a good shot. I believe at the time we had already traded for the first overall pick, so Baltimore could have then immediately get whatever replacement they wanted for Lamar in the draft or trade for someone else. I still am baffled we were one of the teams that put out that ridiculous statement about not pursuing Lamar.   Yeah, let’s not trade for the franchise carrying, mvp winning, all pro top 5 qb in league to help take this franchise higher places. They should have at least tried. They were willing to go all in on Watson but not Lamar, I don’t understand Tepper.
