Any Word On What Hurney Is Going To Do With The Cap?

The only thing he can do is restructure contracts.I believe Gross has agreed to that but the other player we could gain cap is Steve Smith or Gamble.I think they will wait until after the draft and see where we will need help.

Excuse the immature attacks on here--Close minded, childish morons tend to think being sarcastic makes them look smart . They rarely stick their own necks out by offering a thread. It is very sad if you think about it--they probably weren't breastfed or something.

Wharton money will be freed on June 1. Possible that we like the new K we have or sign a new one. That would probably create more room. I expect that we will have about $6 million in June.

Restructures can be extremely dangerous for future years, but a few extensions here and there could free up a lot of space and lock up some looming pending FA... But my job is to sell retail electronics, not to be a wizard and exude HurneyMagic...

i wouldn't worry, however, i just don't like the lack of large wiggle room the Panthers will end up with. Unless some serious moves are made.

So that tells me it's all about the draft and they may even trade down a couple of spots to nab some extra value.

    • KP is not a straight up carbon copy but they look awful close to me.  T
    • You are right. At the same time I don’t think people are watching games going come on Bryce put it on the ground or sail it OB or whatever. They just have trouble seeing him turning his 3 or four or five top games of 2025 into the weekly standard outing. Which you expect for the kind of money he will ask for (speaking for myself anyway).
    • In terms of comparing Pickett and Young's arm talent it's basically a push at best. Pickett is sitting at 6.2 yards per pass attempt for his career while Bryce sits at 6.0 Last season Bryce was 6.3 in yards per pass attempt. Only Justin Fields Spencer Rattler (both 6.2) Kyler Murray (6.0) 41 year old Joe Flacco (6.0) 44 year old Phillip Rivers (5.9) rookie Cam Ward (5.9) and Tyrod Taylor (5.8) had less pass yards per attempt than Bryce Young in his third season as a starter. Folks going around acting as if it is beyond the pale to say Pickett might have a better arm than Young are living in an alternate reality. You can choose to not believe your own eyes after 46 games but everyone else will acknowledge reality and move forward accordingly.
