Tony Fiametta FB Syrcause

Recommended Posts

I was a little concerned that he has less than 400 career yards in college. But like everyone says, that's not what we use a full back for. I'll take the word of 'Cuse fans that he's a beast and go from there. I hate that Hoov is aging, I really liked him as he was a Western Carolina, since I'm from Asheville and love the small school guys by default, player but it happens and it's time to begin the transition...

With this pick the Panthers are announcing to league to expect more of the same. We are going to run the ball down your throat!

Yep. The last three picks -- Goodson, Fiammetta and Robinson -- all show how committed to the run we are. :drool5:

We should have THE best run game in the league next year (though we do face many tough defenses).

For those of you that wondered why I was somewhat disappointed with the pick... I just figured with the guy's physical tools, he would be a threat to run as well. We wouldn't really need it because JStew is our banger, but still. And I would've liked our FB/H-Back of the future to be a threat catching out of the backfield with Hoov's performance, or lack thereof in that aspect...

Seems a great fit as a blocking FB, and that will be of great value if he supplants Hoov. My problem is we have other GREATER needs that haven't been addressed and the players I have in mind are not on Kiper's board.

His draft profile says he's an excellent backfield reciever.

    • How far has ACL repair and recovery advanced since Thomas Davis had the injuries? I recall hearing that he would probably never play at a high level.again. He proved them all wrong. I'm sure with new surgical advancements the repair would be miles of what it used to be. If Brooks is used right and fully recovered, could he possibly have a successful comeback after two tears to the same knee? Anyone with medical knowledge on this topic know if thats even possible? Canales said he should be ready for training camp. Ready for camp and playing at a high level are two different animals.   .
    • I'd hate to see it if you WERE a lover. LOL Proctor looks like Temu Mekhi Becton to me. Becton was a significantly better mover at the college level than Proctor and he busted hard as an NFL OT and has still even been terrible at OG because he still gets exposed in space even on the inside. There's a reason why most NFL OL are significantly smaller than these guys. The Jonathan Ogdens of the world are absolute unicorns.
    • I love this hat I love that it's more blue than anything and I love the NFL Draft Pin 😀
