Plus, might have to have this debate again after june 1st?

I hope we do, speaking of which anybody know what our cap room will be after Wharton comes off the books? I hope we have enough room to bring Shockey back another year and a couple other vets.

Manno is not going to make the team.

Tolbert is the obvious choice, but my instincts say Nelson was a great addition and could be the starter after the BYE. Not a fan of Martin so maybe this & the Haruki signings help the light switch go off for him.

I'm certain Chud wants Shockey back. And Shock wants to be back. I'm certain this will happen. But as far as who the best fa will be is really kinda funny. Hopefully, it's one ya never see comin. Technically Applewhite is an fa this year. Maybe it's him? either way Rivera seems to be putting together role players for his schemes. Which I must say is the best part of being a Panther fan. Rivera is the next step in the evolution of the game. And I am excited to see this genius at work with a full roster and off season training. The best fa this year are the ones smart enough to sign the dotted panther line!

I say Hiroshima Nagasaki or Reggie because one of them will be starting. FB/HB is a limited role compared to starting FS

Newton, stew and dlo....wheres tolbert gonna find those kind of honors with those guys on the field? I agree with smith making alot of impact, while firing up those around him. he's gonna make Gamble even better!

Yeah but we cut him then signed him out of fa. So it could be him?

They didn't cut him. He only signed a one year deal last year.

not that it makes much difference, but I think the idea here is new contributers

    • I have been looking for a dropped pass list and all that comes up is QBs. And team stats. When I do receivers I get the passing stats for a handful that threw passes this year.    I wanted to be accurate but anyhow I was looking because thought I remembered reading where T Mac had more drops than XL this year.  One of you many smarter than me people here,I would appreciate it if you know how to pull that up, please do. Thank you.    And yeah I know that isn’t all there is to it I just thought it was interesting.  Of course what the hell is a drop lol.
    • I agree with this and I think it's worth mentioning too that Bryce is not consistent on his placement and especially velocity and that in large part is driven by his footwork. We all know XL doesn't have the best hands and I don't know that he can overcome that. Cam always had the heater that just hit your hands and sank into your grip, where Bryce has some that are harder thrown, some soft. Bryce stepping into a pass looks so much different than that hop throw thing he does. I think XL really needs to hit the jugs machine and start learning how to catch all these different touch passes. TMac and Coker don't have these issues. If XL doesn't get some work in he's going to be out of the league in the next couple of years.
    • I think most people like XL from a personal standpoint. I don't think he's stupid either. Although if we are being realistic he is lacking in football IQ at this point in time and it cannot be disputed that he has not taken working on his craft seriously at all times given the body of work on the field. It speaks for itself. I myself have defended him at times given the circumstances of our QB room. But he is now in his third year and 25 years old. We are not in a position as a franchise to go around babying anyone especially first round draft picks. He needs to take his position and his football career seriously or he is going to end up selling used cars somewhere. I hope he realizes this and takes an extended break from social media because that mess certainly isn't going to increase his net worth if he ends up out of the league. And these hanger on types will disappear quick too once that money dries up and it surely will eventually. We'll see how he responds.
