Big Three Poll On Nfl.com

Jesus, Houston's is just unfair. If only Schaub and Johnson could consistently remain healthy. If they do, they are a serious contender in the AFC.

I'd probably go, out of that four, Houston, Carolina, Pittsburgh, and Philadelphia.

Houston has a very good chance at a deep playoff run if each of those players are healthy. Shcuab is a former Cav, but I gotta give it to him; he's a pretty good QB. However, I'd have to choose us. We don't know exactly what Stewart would be if he had a #1 role like Foster and Smith has had better seasons than Johnson despite a 6" difference.

Also, the true Steve Smith bio comes up if you google his name, nasty.

Gotta go back to 2005 for Smitty to top Johnson.....Johnson has put up comparable numbers to that year or been on pace when injured almost every year since then

Out of those listed I think houston is the best, however they lack depth at QB and WR (Ben Tate is pretty good, then again they have a GREAT Oline). Most unanimously agree that fitz, calvin, andre and smith are the best 4 receivers in the game and their placement is debateable. Foster is the most complete back in the NFL, better than Peterson and McCoy. He's great at every facet of the game. As good as our RBs our, both Dwill and Stu have weaknesses (both could still easily be every down backs), but they play off each other so well it works great.

Honestly it's a pretty silly arrangement considering how reliant certain offenses are on less conventional key personnel. New England is super reliant on tight ends while us and KC run a dual back system. Also, all homerism aside, why arent the falcons listed in this? Turner white and ryan are all very good at their respective positions. (Edit: I'm an illiterate dumbass. They are there. I need to stop coming on here after bar time.)

    • The panthers offense right now is spiritually the same as the 2010s Seahawks. They want to keep it close until the fourth quarter and then try to pull a rabbit out of their hat. instead of running marshawn into the line 30 times a game, we’re throwing 20 passes behind the line of scrimmage. And instead of Russell Wilson bullshit, we’re getting 20 yard drives to set up a 55 yard field goal. Also that team had multiple hall of famers and we’ve got the worst qb in the league by whatever collections of metrics you want to use
    • So if Bryce could have come to Carolina with the same advantages he had every year at Alabama he would have been successful. Good coaches. Top recruiting classes far better than the opposition. Defense able to bail him out if he has a bad game.  Still doesnt change anything regarding footwork, mechanics, drop backs, reading the field, poor placement or any of the other myriad of issues that are still present in year 3.  Bryce wasn't ready to be the day 1 starter. There's nothing wrong with that. Dalton was clearly the more capable QB, as evidenced by what happened in Seattle in the rain, under extreme pressure. Same players, same coach, same terrible offensive line. Two different offenses.  When you look at Bryce and what he's done in game over the course of 3 years it's not pretty. He has moments of good, but there's been a lot more WTF. But saying Bryce would have been able to lead a team to the playoffs? Based on what we saw from him, he probably would have spent a good bit of year one on the bench holding a clipboard.
    • Feels on brand for Mike Brown.  He's very anti trade.
