Dawn of a new (Huddle) era?

no, it was just exceptionally bad for a while with sn03 going apeshit and jt making it worse by spazzing out

though I haven't seen grits in a while, that helps

grits is still posting.

the crap that sn03 pulled happens every offseason at least once. i don't think it was worse than it was with PFFL...in fact i think sn03 was pretty tame compared to that.

Remember the race to 1mil Rep. Those where the days. Trolls, Rep whores, and Pie mongers. Those are the people who keep the Huddle lively. The new system offers no incentive to be funny so it's kind of bland now. I understand why that would be wanted in the Carolina Panthers forum where people come for news and updates, but it's extended to The Lounge, Nerdvana, Lovely Ladies, and everywhere else on this site that people frequent to have fun.

are you kidding me? this place is more geared towards getting rewarded for being funny.

the old rep was used almost exclusively for actual good posts, as its personal message feature allowed a sort of interpersonal communication when warranted. pie was (is) a lazy auto-response; rep was more thoughtful and therefore more valuable (and generally given for football acumen.)

there are a handful of exceptions, of course, but many of them slowed down their posting when the rep was reset.

    • You honestly think Tampa would have traded down with a division rival so their rival could land a “generational player” at a massive position of need for TB?   bruh
    • Ya'll better quit throwing shots at Zod. He'll come in here and ban everybody. I had a friend @prosource who was banned in 2015 because he said some very minor things about Zod being an ass to the posters on the main forum after starting the All-Pro one. He said he felt like another level is cool, but don't punch down on people that don't want All-Pro. (He did say that it wasn't going to last long anyways.🤔) I distinctly remember him calling and being like "dude, I got banned, my profile says I don't have access to the Huddle!") I feel like once Tepper came in and cut off all unofficial access to the team, Zod was going to be around less. The All-Pro board had really good photos, even in game stuff, and I remember seeing him behind a little fenced in area at Wofford for non team sanctioned press/photographers after Tepper bought the team. I knew then his ego wouldn't allow him to continue with past fervency and effort with that reduction in access. Dude was literally in the locker room when JR was owner.  I came over in 2011 immediately after finding out this place existed. I was super involved with the Charlotte forum, and fell off after its demise. I will never forget arguing Pep over Ryan Sims on that forum! Who is Ryan Sims some of you may ask? My answer is exactly!
    • And not see him running free. Because has been free a lot more than he gets credit for.    Now what XL does with that when he does see the ball, is on him.
