I was 31 when I got married, the 1st & only time.. I had 3 serious gf's and quite a few not so serious. I was in the same position as you are, ready to settle down but not really knowing what I wanted. Then I figured out what I wanted. I asked God to give me a woman as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside and who will accept me for who I am... I met my wife soon after. I know it sounds cheesy but thats how it went...

I was just asking because I'm about to turn 31 this year and well yeah, still single, freshly single actually. I kind of fee like if the next one that comes along, we don't do anything, I'm just going to stay single, for ever. EVER.. (Cue foreveralone.png).

I've been taking my sweet time but just not met the right one, and if I do meet the right one, she has to be 2,304,432 miles away. Which sucks. I have to be realistic, long distance relationships are pointless.

I'm just going to take it slow for a bit and not date anyone. Dating sucks to be honest. It's almost like a freaking job interview. I don't like dates, is that weird? I don't know maybe because expectations are set high and people expect so much out of the first date. I certainly don't but the chicks I've dated apparently do.

Although Dating in the states was so much fun and easier. Here in Mexico, believe it or not, if you don't have a high place in some company or have a career or something that screams out high society, chicks tend to over look you. In the states I got by with my mediocre good looks, witty humor and $100 bucks in my bank account to spend on a friday/saturday night, hah!

Fwiw, I have a friend that had that happen twice. Not wives, but girlfriends. He finally met the right woman and has been married for going on 15 years.

Started dating her my junior year if high school. Dated to 6 years. Married for two.

I had no clue until she lowered the boom. She said she always was confused, but did not act on it until we were married for about a year.

I give her this...she had great taste in women. Her Gf's were gorgeous.

Was tough at first. But it was for the best. Both of us ended up happy. My current wife is a saint, and she has been with the same person for going on 20 years now.

I finally got past it. But knowing that your wife had been with more women than I had was kind of a tough pill to swallow.

Would never recommend anyone under about the age of 25 or so get married. It takes about that long to figure out who you are and what you really want out of life. Until you figure that out, it is very hard to find that right person who wants the same and completes you.

I thought I was ready in my early 20's head over heels for this girl, she was ready, it was all good.

Had the conversation with my Dad about it, and immediately broke it off.

I don't think you have to bang each other first if saving yourself to your wedding night is important to you. However, if I would have done that, I would have wanted my wife still a virgin until wedding night as well. Besides, how are you to know in that situation if the sex is bad?

Waiting until marriage was a commitment that I made, but I wasn't willing to hold a potential mate to that. I can't really justify holding someone accountable for something they did before I met them.

Cant say that Im shocked but still it bugs me that so many people seem to think that marriage is for people +30. I mean why are so many people hell bent on being in their 50s or 60s before your kids graduate from high school? Why do so many folks seem to want to be middle aged parents?

Plus I think its bullshit to say you don't know yourself or what you want before you're 25.

Yeah you're right about not holding the person you loves prior actions against them. Although there is plenty of ways for two virgins that married each other to learn new tricks. Plenty of info to find on the sexweb outside of porn.
