Just read a 54-year-old man set a new record by doing 4,321 pull-ups in a 24-hour period yesterday.

At first, one's brain MIGHT say ... I could do that!

LOL.

How many do you think you could do before your arms are like ... oh HELL naw.

The math works out to about three pull-ups a minute ... for an entire day.

The most I ever did at once without stopping was 18.

For comparison, I know people who do sets of 20. And I mean pull ups, not chin ups or kips.

Not cross fit pull ups?

When I was in fighting shape I would get stopped at 50 because the guy counting would start punching me in the stomach

that's a kip, not a pull up

to me, it's like calling a kettlebell swing a curl

I am adding HIIT to my schedule, perhaps 3 times per week. Heard some really good benefits to it, actually it's amazing that I've gone this long without doing it.

Anyone who does HIIT that has any tips?

So tell me about rowing machines.  Looking into buying one.

I bought an old concept 2 model A about 8 years ago for $ 50.  I use it every other day for 30 minutes and lift weights the other days.  Its a good workout for me, but very boring to use - I find I really have to put my mind in another place to do it for 30 minutes straight.  I would check for a used one on CL or something before laying out the cash for a new one.  Whatever you get go with quality not one of the cheapies.
