Defensive Preview: Carolina Panthers 2012.

Recommended Posts

Much of the success will depend on how well key players come back from injuries. If we can get back Beason at 100% or close to it and Ron Edwards we should be able to stop the bleeding in our run defense. The addition of Luke should also give us a big boost for our run defense and help cover TEs and rbs used as receivers.I am uncertain how much better our secondary will be but we should be able to keep the double teams off CJ which should improve qb pressure. My prediction is our defense will be in the middle of the pack.

Agree with middle of the pack this season, but it should be good enough to protect leads and decide a couple games in a positive way, contrary to last season.

Agreed middle of the pack is a big improvement form near last.

    • Just like WR, you thin ignite and then suffer an injury and you are scrambling.  Any RB could have run through some of those those holes though and maybe you don’t get the same xtra yards but you are getting yardage.  It is the pass catching they will miss the most.
    • Without Sanders, they are stil catching balls. Sanders is about a giveaway to it will be a pass play.   Also, hoping we see the competition at RB keep both guys on their toes.
    • I was talking about pre season hype vs now.  They were talking about him being the best route runner on the team and being unguardable.  Putting people in the blender.  He has had 1 catch the last two games, and before that it was 2 per game. I like Renfrow, but it seems him and Bryce are not on the same page.
