New faces

Frank Alexander is a player who really intrigues me, mostly because we saw enough in him to give next year's 3rd rounder.

Josh Norman has also caught my attention, especaily for a 5th round pick. Don't have much evidence other than his d2 highlights, scouting reports, good mini camp reports, and lack of competetion at the # 2 corner to support my feelings but for some reason I feel strongly that he will emerge as the # 2 corner by the start of the season.

Returning Players

Gary Barnidge- I am rooting for this guy because of the how much we used 2 tight ends last year and Shockey being absent. He has flashed in camp before but am strongly hoping he can take it a step further this time

Fua/Mcclain- I am really hoping one of these 2 really steps it up this year and my money is on Fua based of rewatching every game and paying close attention the d-line the 2nd time around.

Obviously theres many more but didn't want to get too carried away and wanted to leave some for you guys as well.

Barnidge - Olsen is a given receiving threat...Barnidge is quite fast for a TE and is definitely on my radar and he should step it up. I think he could get 25+ receptions this year

McClain & Kearse...not Fua because I'm thinking he'll be Ron's backup at NT for now

Keiser, Applewhite, & Alexander - I want to see who jumps ahead within the group behind Johnson & Hardy

Ninja Nakamura - dethrone Martin please

Lamont Bryant - muy interesante

Every year I pick one or two undrafted guys that I take a special interest in and hope they make the team. Last year it was Byron Bell and this year it is Lamont Bryant. If he doesn't make the active roster I hope he makes the practice squad. Then again I liked Taye Bittle a few years back and he went nowhere. Sure these guys are longshots to make the team but who knows stranger things have happened.

Lamont Bryant for sure.

Murphy vs. Gettis, the battle two injured burners with young promising careers.

Reggie Smith, Haruki Nakamura.

Justin Medlock.

Bruce Campbell.

I'm not gonna lie, I'm actually really intrigued by Nortman punting the ball and Adams fielding punts.

Really excited about Pilares development. 89 is singing his praises a little, so hopefully he can be a secret weapon.

Tolbert's role in our offense has me very interested as well.

Yeah, as they probably won't make the roster, I'm really hoping we keep Lamont Bryant and Jared Green on the practice squad. There's some definite potential there in terms of their size and speed, respectively.

In terms of camp, I think I'm most curious about how our Safety position pans out, with CB2 being a close second. If we see improvements in either the front or back end of our defense (we already know the middle will be stout), then I think our D will be vastly improved.

CBs- Norman and Hogan (as most of you know, Norman looked surprisingly good earlier, while Hogan didn't look great)

WR- Joe Adams, Louis Murphy, and David Gettis

DE- Greg Hardy and Frank Alexander

FS- someone has to start here right?

    • As far as elite/elevate talent QB’s It’s Allen Mahomes Jackson and Burrow that’s it.  Then we have tiers and those can be debated all day Dak is a good QB but I know this board would want him out of Charlotte if he was the QB here. 2 playoff wins in 10 years. Justin Herbert no playoff wins. Threw 4 interceptions in last years playoff game. 23 TD passes last year. 20 the year below and 25 the year before that. This board loves stats without context and these stats aren’t saying they’re much above complimentary  Kyler Murray isn’t good. I’m not sure how he made this list.  Caleb Williams, Trevor Lawrence both benefiting from some real good offensive coaches right now. They’re both complimentary pieces until proven otherwise  I like Jordan Love. Always have. I wanted to draft him but he isn’t a superstar.  CJ Stroud hasn’t been much better than Bryce after his rookie season. After that Bears game year 2 his numbers very similar to Bryce I will say I think Drake Maye is well on his way to becoming the next top tier QB if I had to pick one from this entire list. I’d also say Baker Mayfield is a damn good QB and I’d take him over most of those guys not in the elite category  Now if you want to debate tools and which QB’s possess tools to put them in higher tiers that’s a completely different discussion. Most QB’s on your main list all have those physical tools that will keep you thinking he’ll become the next top tier QB. They’ll sprinkle in a “wow” play or two a game. Bryce will never look that way. Young’s game at its peak will physically always look different and I think that’s where most people struggle when it comes to seeing how Young’s can be successful in the league  All QB’s need a team around them. I think the Bills are failing Josh Allen much like the Panthers did Cam. Beane and McDermott using same blueprint with Bills team. Josh Allen hasn’t had much in terms of WR’s and it’s ultimately costing them when it matters the most
