I wanted my 1st post on your fine forum to be some profound statement or prediction that would find the deepest and brightest minds of football analysis in awe of my great gridiron mind trust. Unfortunately I have nothing thanks to Nine_Lives. The thoughts of X's and O's have turned to XXX. Those tight ends are sure to get my proho vote.

Making the Pro Bowl is part skill, part circumstance. With Justin Tuck and JPP in the Superbowl that perhaps opens the way for an alternate. I expect the Niners to make a run to the NFC Championship game and their talented D-lineman to pull out (giggity). There's always a ton of guys that get late bids to the pro bowl because of injuries so the numbers game isn't that bad.

I know it sounds crazy for ATL and NOLA to get shut out of the playoffs but if you look at the schedule it could happen. This is the NFL, weird things happen every season. The NFC South is a great division along with the NFC EAST and the AFC West has plenty of talent as well. Sometimes a great team goes 9-7 and an OK team goes 13-3. Some of the Panthers 8-8 teams were loaded.
