im with bronn on them parking at the prison for as long as they have. the arc itself doesn't have to take the full season to deliver the point.

its like a great movie that you see and you say to your friends afterwords, they could have cut out 15-20 mins and it still would have been awesome.

kind of how i feel here. they shouldn't go more than 2 episodes at the prison without moving along. but that's my personal taste.

I think you have to do it the way they're doing it though. Let's think here, you have 16 episodes. Let's look at how they paced this season. SPOILERS IF YOU HAVEN'T WATCHED ALL OF THIS SEASON.

The first 2 episodes are a "catch up". A "here's where the group is now". They clear the prison. That's what we get. Also, we figure out what's up with Andrea and Michonne. So, good.

The next 2 are the fallout of the experiences with prisoners and the fallout of Andrea and Michonne going with the Governor, as well as some character deaths and Rick's breaking point.

Then you have 2 episodes of Rick losing it, Maggie and Glenn, and Michonne v. Merle.

Then you have 2 episodes of Michonne finding the prison, the group rescue/Michonne v. Governor, and then midseason "cliffhanger" (if you can call it that).

Now, since the break, you have 2 episodes involving Rick and the rescued with Daryl and Merle going off while Tyreese sees how insane Rick has become.

Then the prison raid. And recently, Andrea coming back.

So far, they've paced this well. They essentially have two (now 3) separate plots mingling into one episode a week (Prison group, Woodbury/Andrea, Tyreese's group). You have 45 minutes to cram all of this. They've done well. It seems long, but to really have the viewer buy into all of this, you have to give some details. You have to dive into it and not look back when you're writing it. Otherwise, you risk skimping on important minor details and the whole season feels empty.

They still have to have Rick's "coming back" moment. They still have to have Tyreese's group have their resolution and tie their plot together with the Prison v. Woodbury plot. They still have to get Andrea to have her resolution. They have to specifically state whether Merle is pro-Prison or pro-Woodbury with his "moment". Then, finally, the climax and resolution to the Woodbury v. Prison arc. These are just things I'm guessing, btw. If I were writing, these seem like the logical progressions. They still have 5 episodes left, and based on the preview for next week, next week will be a detour off the previously stated plots to a whole new one. Season 3 finale will not be the final showdown. Mark it down right now. Way too much to cover. If it is, color me shocked. Season 4 midseason finale, if I am guessing, will be the conclusion of the prison arc.

Sure, we all can guess that at least SOME of the prison group make it out of this debacle. No poo. Sure, we wonder what comes after the prison, as far as what the show is gonna do. But to wish it away is just silly.

      Was at the game and NYCFC honestly outplayed CLT the whole way.  Khalina and Zaha carried the team.  Zaha's wife on IG making it sound like he's gone come July. They're going to have to pay him or find a big time replacement because the team looks like pretty lost without him.

      No one's saying LaMelo has no blame we're responding to you acting like he's the reason they lost. The scapegoating and blaming the teams woes on his personality is where it's like Cam Newton all over again. It was a failure on multiple fronts and primarily Lee's. Dude said ON AIR pregame that they had to protect the paint and if that was his gameplan going in he couldn't have botched it more. As the commentators said Ball's a rhythm guy and Orlando was preventing him for getting any kind of flow going. I'm a normie watching on TV and said they needed to bait them into fouling to combat that. They didn't even try until the 2nd half when it was too late. I think it's fair to expect the star to overcome whatever but LaMelo was not the problem in that game and he's not what is holding the team back. He's the only reason they're flirting with being a great team. I kinda put the center play on Lee too. Moose is great until he's up against a big who can body him. We've always known that and that's what Kalkbrenner is for. I don't know if it would have changed much but Kalkbrenner should have had more minutes than him.  And moving forward with the center position, I just think it's the time to trade Diabate while his stock's high and that's not an indictment of his game. He's like an evolved combination of Biyombo and PJ. He's a great rim protector and the strength issue is just what you're going to have to deal with if you want that. But Kalkbrenner is perfectly capable of protecting the rim and we gotta get away from the undersized centers or it'll always be a problem for us.

      Honestly its why that Jalen Coker grab was a big deal.  I'd been warming up to the idea of a sadiq pick and was adamantly against a receiver...but this altered my train of thought.  I mean For instance, Cade Otton signed for 3 yr 30 mil contract...thats not dramatically different than the rookie payscale for #19 (4 year 20 mil with 5th year option), however you KNOW otton is decent...no clue if Sadiq will be anything.
