Please Cam... Stop the first down celebration..

The difference in Cam's first down celebration and the other players is, those who feel it necessary to find fault with everything he does.

I had to LOL at how down Rogers was last night after the thrashing the Gaints gave his team. He practically acted like he didn't want to be there. Nevermind having to answer the soft ball questions the reporters were throwing at him. All I could think of were the many times I come on here and someone started a thread critiquing Cam's body language or attitude during his press conferences after a lost. The label, "immature" was thrown around like a towel with every disecting of Cam's action. Yet, there stood Rogers with the funkest of moods. I didn't see a QB very happy to have been stumped all over by another team standing at that podium barely answering those soft ball questions. Nope, he looked quite pissed.

In all honest one has to ask, why isn't Cam allowed to be Cam?

Because he's Cam, apparently.

I don't really have a problem with it, relatively speaking.

The current state of the NFL is that everybody celebrates minor accomplishments, even when they're losing by 50 points.

Within that culture, it's no big deal. Not a culture that I'm a big fan of, but hey, that's today's NFL.

I do think we celebrate more than any team out there. Smitty celebrates when he runs a good route. Now he has Tolbert doing the ball spin.

I'm not wild about the first down celebration, but this is who Cam is--love it or hate it. I hate it much less when we are winning.

    • Kalkbrenner and Sion James received regular contracts and not two ways, so the Hornets have some work to do to cut the roster size down.
    • Gustavsson would be insane. I think we would have to break the bank to afford that move. Which, I don't think is necessarily a bad idea. Ultimately, Freddie isn't likely to be around more than a couple of seasons more. We can all agree that unless they have a fleet of sports psychologists working on Kochetkov, he will never be capable of getting his head on straight enough to compete.
    • I originally hated the Miller deal but with the cap projected to rise nearly $10M next season the Canes struck some pretty good deals between Miller and Ehlers. Most of the team is locked in for the next few years. Nikishin will need an extension probably in the $6M AAV range. And Blake will need one if we don’t move him. Personally I’d move Blake, picks, and any prospect not named Nikishin/Nadeau/Artamonov for McTavish as I don’t see any any of the big time players moving teams next year. Realistically the Hurricanes should just target Gustavsson next year to fix the goal tending issue. But I’m all for moving Blake, picks, and prospects for McTavish this year. Ehlers - Aho - Jarvis Svechnikov - McTavish - Stankoven Martinook - Staal - Carrier Hall - Kotkaniemi - Robinson Jost - Jankowski Slavin - Miller Nikishin - Chatfield Gostisbehere - Walker Reilly Andersen Kochetkov I’d do Blake, Felix-Unger-Sorum, and 27 2nd for McTavish.
